Have you been eating beetroot? But more likely to be blood if it's an infection and you are having the urge to pee. Always do a wee after sex to help prevent UTIs.

RoseWineTime · 01/06/2021 23:38

Cystitis wasn’t called the Honeymoon disease for no reason.

CaraherEIL · 01/06/2021 23:41

You need antibiotics, it could be the same infection rumbling on. Don’t leave it now, get it treated. The GP will ask for a urine sample. It sounds exactly as if it’s just a UTI irritating the lining of the bladder and within a few days the antibiotics will sort out so I wouldn’t be worried but just get the medication sorted.

neroforte · 01/06/2021 23:42

nope not eaten beetroot, have thought about what i ate today the only red food was strawberries but don't think they turn ur pee red lol. will definitely take the advice of peeing after sex for the future !

Go to a pharmacist. They can test your urine and give you antibiotics

Feellikeimsinking · 02/06/2021 17:43

@neroforte how are you feeling today op?

ittakes2 · 02/06/2021 17:49

have you eaten beetroot today? Another reason why you pee might be coloured but if not that you should definately go see a doctor asap. Kidneys operate without issue until things are really really bad and if you can see blood then things are bad. Hope you are OK.

suspiria777 · 03/06/2021 10:06

@neroforte

i haven't got any pain in my back currently, just in vagina when i pee.
you don't pee out of your vagina...
Whyhello · 03/06/2021 10:24

Usually a pee infection. FIL had it a couple of months ago and had diagnosed himself with cancer, it was a urine infection.

neroforte · 04/06/2021 12:56

hi, blood went away yesterday but still here today for first pee of the day. have got pain throughout stomach but unsure if this is due to gas (mildly upset stomach due to overindulging!) or related to this.
will drink lots and lots of water today and try to get cranberry juice and if nothing changes by tomorrow morning i will be going to the pharmacy.

You need to see a doctor. You needed to see a doctor three days ago. Please stop messing about with cranberry juice and call a doctor.

Lockheart · 04/06/2021 13:02

The pain throughout your abdomen combined with the blood in your urine, urge to urinate, and pain when you do is screaming bladder infection. See. A. Doctor.

randomkey123 · 04/06/2021 13:04

Cranberry juice is a myth OP, as is D-Mannose. See a medical professional asap.

LadyEuphemia · 04/06/2021 13:06

See a Dr TODAY, I know two people who have had untreated UTI’s and ended up in hospital with sepsis. Don’t mess with UTI’s, always get medical help.

Xiaoxiong · 04/06/2021 13:09

Please please please see a doctor today - my uncle died in January, he got a UTI in December and ignored it trying to treat it at home because it was christmas and he didn't want to bother anyone with it, it was no big deal etc etc, it turned into sepsis and he died alone thanks to covid regulations not allowing my aunt or cousins to be there with him.

Please don't wait until tomorrow!!!!

pinkcattydude · 04/06/2021 13:15

Go to the doctor last thing you need is this to get worse over the weekend

SwimmingOnEggshells · 04/06/2021 13:15

Uti/ cystitis. It's nasty. Take ibuprofen until you get to the dr. It'll take the edge off. Do NOT drink any caffeine

Raindropumbrella · 04/06/2021 13:16

For Christ’s sake woman, go to the doctor!
It is an infection, the only thing that will get rid is antibiotics.
Water and cranberry will only mask the symptoms and make you feel better by diluting your urine making it easier to pass. It will not kill bacteria

bigbeatmanifesto · 04/06/2021 13:18

Cranberry doesn't fight infection it just soothes the burning sensation if anything at all, you need antibiotics and to give a urine sample before it spreads UTI's can lead to very serious kidney infections. Ring your docs or go to a walk in centre.

UmbilicusProfundus · 04/06/2021 13:20

This is the point where people start to lose their sympathy and get a bit annoyed... Please take some responsibility for yourself and go to the doctors. Some things you can’t just ignore and hope will go away.

NicknamesAreLikeKleenex · 04/06/2021 13:22

I agree - get to a GP or ring 111. Urine/kidney infections can be easily treated but left untreated they can land you in hospital on a drip pretty quickly. Alternatively your local pharmacy might have a Test and Treat service which can provide antibiotics.
