My espresso machine needs descaling and the steam wand needs a proper clean. I haven't done this because the descaling liquid is at the back of the bottom cupboard and I can't bend down so need my husband to get it out for me.
Have I asked him to do that? No. I have no excuse for not asking him and I'm pissing myself off with it all.

Please tell me your own minor jobs that haven't been done.

Deweeding the front garden because in reality it's not a small job, and we're getting it turned into a drive hopefully later this year so the motivation is zero.

I also put off hanging pictures. No idea why cos I love having art hanging on my wall but the effort of finding a frame, putting it in the frame, deciding with my husband about where to hang it and getting my tool kit is all too much effort.

I also need to trim my bush and shave my legs but that involves charging up my Ladyshave.

Cleaning two windows

I really need to get some quotes for waste removal- we've got some broken furniture and bags of garden waste that need to go and a giant, very old mattress currently propped up in the spare bedroom that needs taking away.

The mattress has probably been there for 6 months... Blush

I currently look like Mr Tumnus but I can't do anything about it due to the aforementioned inability to bend. My husband doesn't feel comfortable shaving me (fair enough) so I shall have to wear trousers while it's hot because I don't want to get a stranger to wax my legs.

That made me laugh Grin

The living room lightbulb has blown.
Though I wouldn’t say it’s for no reason - I’ve never changed a lightbulb before. This is the first one that’s gone since I broke up with my ex, who I lived with since I was 19.
I’m nervous about doing it. Confused For some reason I always worry that I’ll grab it too hard and it will shatter.

BrilliantBetty · 02/06/2021 09:10

@Mumoblue don't worry. It's unlikely to shatter. It's probably one of the new LED / plasticky type anyway. Be quite gentle, give it a twist and bobs your uncle!

You'll be kicking yourself as how easy it is. You can definitely do it Smile

Check out your local council, they usually do 'bully waste' collection and you can get it all gone in one collection.

Where I am, you pay for up to x items, or a price for a specific item I.e. fridge. They collect most things. You book a slot, pay and then leave it all outside on the day.

My wardrobe is an absolute state 😭🙄

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 02/06/2021 10:48

Sorting one specific drawer in the kitchen. It annoys me everytime I have to go in it for something but cant bring myself to do anything about it.

Getawriggleon · 02/06/2021 11:11

Calling any tradesperson. This gives me the most anxiety of any task regardless of how necessary it is or how pleasant they are.

Ironing. Always mountains of ironing.

Reallybadidea · 02/06/2021 11:19

Phone calls. It's always phone calls. I can present to hundreds of people at a conference without too much angst, but phone the GP's surgery to book a smear test - nope, I'll put that off for months Blush
