Taking/Sharing sexualised images

Not really AIBU but posting here for traffic. I was in a conversation recently where I shared my belief that there is a generational divide with taking/sharing sexual images, i.e it is really common and considered very normal for younger women but hardly anyone does it over a certain age. Others(much younger) disagreed and said people of all ages now do it. So I'm interested who's right, and asking if anyone is prepared to share. I'll go first:

Age 42
I've never taken or shared a sexualised image of myself
(I don't know if others might have taken images but not shared them)

Zero boundaries at all in the details they discuss. Everything to how cum tastes, how tight they are, how big they like their dicks!!! I mean for goodness sakes!!!! All this in the staff room when you’re trying to eat a bit of lunch.

Packitupwillya · 29/05/2021 16:52

39 and no.

YellowandGreenToBeSeen · 29/05/2021 16:53

Not a chance. If you’re lucky enough to see me naked, you’re about to get very lucky indeed.

Littlefluffyclouds13 · 29/05/2021 16:53

50 and will admit I've done this for dh when he's working away! They're his favourite photos and make him very happy GrinGrin

Yuck, that's really not nice Confused

@Littlefluffyclouds13

It’s just awful. It’s not even one or two, once they all start there is nothing at all that’s left to the imagination. I know we all spoke about with our friends at the same age but I don’t remember over sharing like that, and I wouldn’t have dreamed of doing so at work infront of older colleagues.

SteveArnottsCodeine · 29/05/2021 17:04

35 and I have.... but not for some time!

Ickythefirebobby · 29/05/2021 17:12

I’m 52 and been married 25 years. I’ve never taken, had taken or shared an image. I’m still scarred though by my father showing my husband and I his holiday pics. Unfortunately he forgot to take out the ones of my mum dressed in full webbing. It really put me off my Sunday lunch.

Emmylou1985 · 29/05/2021 18:26

36 here and I did when I was 21-22. I wouldn't dream of doing it now and I definitely regret doing it in the past.

Crazycakelady17 · 29/05/2021 18:29

I sent a photo of my boobs to my DH in a Ebluey whilst he was in Afghanistan head wasn’t in shot just in case! Made his tour he said

saveramona · 29/05/2021 18:31

I send lots of nudes to loads of people, without my face in them. Have also uploaded loads of them to Reddit. It's liberating for me.

littlepattilou · 29/05/2021 18:42

@sharksarecool Never have, never would. I would rather boil my head in 200°C tar, than let anyone take a sexualised photo of me, and even worse, share it with people ...... shudder! Confused

(Born in the late 1960s, child of the 1970s, teen/young adult in the 1980s.)

JellyTumble · 29/05/2021 18:44

Mid 30s and taken and shared many pictures.

All ages do it.

MazDazzle · 29/05/2021 18:51

I’ve sent photos to my DH, but not with my face in them. He works away from home. Can’t imagine I’d do it if we lived together all the time. He’s never sent any to me. He would if I asked, but it doesn’t float my boat so no thanks!

YellowandGreenToBeSeen · 29/05/2021 18:54

No judgement - purely absolutely uneducated about this - those who send or upload to Reddit & Snapchat and the like, do you know who you’re sending them to?

Why is it 'liberating?'
Cornishmumofone · 29/05/2021 18:56

I'm 43. I had some 'boudoir' pics taken (about a decade ago), but that's it.

This. ^ It's very dodgy IMO.

And sending naked pics to people on reddit? WTAF?

SirenSays · 29/05/2021 19:07

Haven't you seen that viral video of the grandma apologising to her adult granddaughter for sending her a nude by mistake?!

littlepattilou · 29/05/2021 19:35

I asked that @RampantIvy

@saveramona why is it liberating to send naked pics of yourself to strangers on reddit, LOADS of naked pics of yourself actually...

MadameTuffington · 29/05/2021 19:39

I’m 50 and did with my first boyf in late 1980s - I wouldn’t because I just don’t trust men not to share - it’s as simple as that - if others want to do it, live and let live :)

DisgruntledPelican · 29/05/2021 19:39

35 and yes, I have.

DisgruntledPelican · 29/05/2021 19:41

Uploaded to Reddit too, actually, in the past.

OneToFive · 29/05/2021 19:43

No. Also, I think you have to be very very careful. My sister is very concerned about her ex-H posting some of the material they've made at some point!
