To ask how long it took you to TTC for your babies?

Me and DH thinking of trying for baby #2 soon.

We are both mid 20s and were very lucky to conceive on the first cycle with DS. Very easy pregnancy with no issues.

DH seems to think it will be as easy as last time but I'm so worried about experiencing secondary infertility - I know no one can tell the future so it's nothing we can really plan for!

DC1: fell right away
DC2: took the guts of a year, with a chemical along the way.

I thought like your DH OP. It came as a shock that it took so long. One thing I would say is focus on your own overall health. Pregnancy, birth, bfing all take it out of your body. I often wonder if that’s why I needed more time to conceive.

1st baby conceived at 30 it took 9/10 months (7cycles as periods were all over the place).

2nd baby 2/3 months on 3rd cycle, conceived at 33.

I expected it to take a lot longer second time. Wanted age gap of around 3yrs but it was 2 1/2 which was acceptable to me, I obvs knew I cld get pregnant quicker than expected.

First baby was due to contraception failure (both forms) we got pregnant after 2 months together I was 34 & no 2 I'd been off contraception for a bit but one time of unprotected sex and baby 2 was on the way 😊 I was 37

I’m 30, currently 10 weeks pregnant with first baby that took 9 months to conceive. No problems, it just took some time. If we do have another baby in the future I’m prepared for it to take just as long if not longer.

DC 2 at 32

Both conceived first month of trying

#1 6 months
#2 1 month

1st on 2nd cycle (was 31)
2nd on 2nd cycle (was 36) - this ended in mc
3rd on 1st cycle the month after mc (also 36)

It took 5 months to conceive both children, aged 20 and 23

I’m very lucky. Age 34 took 3/4 months of trying. Age 37, thought we should get going as heard secondary infertility stories. Fell pregnant straight away. I know how lucky I am.

Both of ours were accidental! 1st shortly after we moved and had stripped the entire house out - totally unplanned. 2nd we had tried for a bit before DH had his cancer diagnosis after 6mths of chemo we were told he would be infertile. 2yrs later DD came along as quite a surprise - our little miracle.

I had secondary infertility,

DD born after being conceived naturally after a year of trying (early 20s)
DS born following IVF after 5 years unexplained infertility (mid 30s)

I think if you conceived so quickly the first time and are still in your 20s then your chances are great - if after a year of trying you have no luck your GP can arrange some tests and it goes from there. Good luck!

Conceived all four of them first time. Im a bit scared to go near him now though

Both in first month of trying/coming off contraception. I was 22 and 25

Conceived first month at 33 - waited 2.5 years to try again. Didn’t conceive but didn’t try to intervene medicall as my marriage was breaking down

First and second child conceived both first time mid twenties. Third pregnancy age 34 first time. Everyone is different.x

First cycle for both of mine. I was 24 and 27.

First pregnancy - 6 months at age 26
Second pregnancy - 1 cycle at age 29 (miscarried)
Third pregnancy - 1 cycle at age 29

Ds- two months, age 31
Dd four months, age 32.

With DD I used ovulation sticks month four.

Baby number 1 maybe like 1 month? I was late(ish) twenties.
Baby number two maybe... 3 months? I was also late twenties.

Neither were entirely planned though, so counting period of no contraception!

7 years. I started at 30.

DC1 1 month age 27
DC2 4 months age 30

First cycle with both, very fortunate.

I had my 1st baby at 27 and fell the second month of trying. My 2nd baby I was 32 and fell the first month.
