To clean the toilet after he’s used it

Aibu to ask Dp to clean the toilet after he’s been on, er, if it needs cleaning?!
Quite embarrassing but sick of getting up in the morning and seeing it.
How much effort is it to use the toilet bleach and brush and clean it 🤷🏻‍♀️
Anyone else’s dp/Dh like this? So off putting that I should actually have to say it.

Why on earth is it embarrassing to ask him to clean his own shit up?? My DH always chucks bleach down the loo afterwards and is always apologetic if he forgets. His brother lived with us for 3.5 years and I didn't hesitate to point out that he needed to clean the toilet if he'd left skid marks. He'd spent his whole life never having to clean up after himself, not doing his washing, cooking, cleaning or tidying. MIL expected me to keep looking after him when he moved in but I made it crystal clear I would not be his maid in any way, shape or form.

DH did this a few times, I asked him to clean it. He did for a while, then stopped so I started sending him pictures of the mess he'd left, next stop family/work WhatsApp groups. Funnily he's never forgotten since then. I also don't understand how they make the mess in the first place. Understandable if you have IBS/IBD or on occasion if you have an upset stomach (still clean up after yourself), but what are all of these men who decimate toilet bowls eating?!

Disgusting and shows a lack of respect for you and I would not last 2 miutes with someone who was like this.
I was the only female out of four in our household, never once have I had to clean skid marks off the toilet, or wipe pee for that matter.
My ex's brother used to call around and like clockwork he would use the toilet for a poo and always left a trail. Some people are disgusting, possibly don't check after themselves or worse leave it for someone else.

I get a little perplexed at these posts. If you're swapping bodily fluids with this bloke, why are you asking us if you should ask him to clean his skidders?

I can't believe you're solely in charge of the dirty nappies and dog poo either.

I work with 5 men, I'm the only female and the toilet is always spotless so it can be done.

Just train him. Show him how to do it. He’s a joke .

DHs parents had the most disgusting stained toilet from years of not cleaning it (the rest of the house is awful too) and he hated it. But when he and I moved in together he didn't clean the skids. He didn't understand that the 2 were related, he thought a once a week clean would do the job. After I explained it, he became quite fastidious about it. He hates going to his parents house.

Tell him to clean it! My 2 year old knows how to clean the toilet. Lazy disgusting bastard.

I had to ask my ex to do this. He refused. This continued for about a year. I broke up with him. There's a reason he's an ex.

Just disrespectful to you imo - a) why should you have to clean up after him and b) why does he not care about what you think?

I simply don't understand it. I ended a relationship over it. It shows a huge lack of respect. It ended after months of putting up with it, telling him to clean it and him not doing it and me dreading friends popping round in case they wanted to use the loo/wash their hands and freshen up.

He left poo on the toilet seat and couldn't understand why I was so livid and what the issue was. Filthy idiot.

I don't think it's embarrassing to ask someone to clean the loo at all. If my DH left a mess I'd be calling him straight back in and telling him not to be so filthy and to clean it. Freaking disgusting.
