Why the fuck am I having periods

I was assured, I was PROMISED, by the internet that once my baby was born if I breastfed I would get a year or more of no periods. So why the fuck did mine return after TEN FUCKING WEEKS, and why do they have the sheer audacity to be so heavy and clotty and painful?

My BF had and fed 4DC. She says the longest she had before AF arrived was 4 weeks...

Oh no, op, I feel your pain. All 3 of mine have been ebf for years, not even a pumped bottle, no dummy. DC 1 period returned after 10 weeks, DC2 after about 8, and my ten month old 28 days on the dot. I spoke to the community midwife, just in case - m/w said she'd never heard of them returning so soon!

Just to add, with all three, I gained weight while BF. Even dieting does very little until I finish feeding. I'm currently doing quite well on WW but I'm well aware it will plateau shortly at a hefty 70kg and the last stone will hang around until he fully gives up. Blasted annoying.

Same here, infact I'm still feeding my 2 year old like a newborn and having regular periods!
I also bleed irregularly when on the combined pill, I bled for months on end when trying the mini pill and I have fibroids that are too small to account for my heavy periods apparantly 🙄

I am actually looking forward to menopause!

10 weeks with DS1. 14 months with DS2.

Both exclusively BF.
