Hi don't really know where to post but wanted to know if by chance anyone on here reads cards and would know what a 3 card combo might mean
Death - The Hangman - The Star

Three card spread is supposed to represent past/present/future as it relates to your question

-past (past events that still affect you or hold you back or are still relevant),
-present (present situation and challenges you face),
-future (direction you are heading towards and/or final outcome).

Death - sometimes abrupt end of something, change of circumstances

Hanged man - self-awareness of situation, knowledge that self sacrifices are necessary. positive in that blindfold has been removed. Your eyes are open to what's going on.

Star - inspiration, renewed hope, good things after loss, positive change, healing, renewal.

In terms of a relationship I'd say the marriage is over and that a new start and change will be good.

The question is just as important as the answer. I think as Tarot as more of a tool for self discovery. We often know the answers but fear making the changes needed and the possible outcomes. Staying stagnant is seen as safer.

Is the question - Why can't I let go? or Should I divorce?

Sometimes the answer makes you realise that the question isn't the right one.

Why would I want to stay? Why wouldn't I want to divorce?

Were you only using Major Arcana?

Death means irrevocable change
Hanged Man is a time of sacrifice or waiting
Star is a time of hope and healing

I tend to add Major Arcana in a reading so that is 13 + 12 + 17 = 42 which tells me that this reading is concerning a relationship.

My guess without knowing the question is, the end of a relationship and you are now waiting for a change (perhaps you gave an ultimatum) and there will be a time of healing ahead.

I hope this is what you wanted, OP.

The trust has clearly gone though, so it must be for the best Flowers

Anordinarymum · 13/05/2021 23:34

@sal1223

I never believed in it but certain life events (which I have had professional advise for ) lead to me seeking it out - the death card keeps coming up every time
The death card means 'change'. It's not as sinister as you think
HalfCakeHalfBiscuit · 13/05/2021 23:59

I think it means you are almost certainly in a James Bond movie.

You might want to read the OP's update before your twatty comments.
ToffeePennie · 14/05/2021 08:18

Drawing 3 cards at random usually is the best way to go.
Death typically represents some change/alteration of circumstances (so you have to make changes to your life to get where you want to go)
The hanged man is usually stagnation (something is holding you back from making those changes it may even be the thing that’s holding you back is the thing that has to change)
The star represents brightness, newness and cleansing. When you have removed the blocks, made the changes, you will feel so much better.

Having said that I don’t believe in Tarot for any reason other than it’s fab for Hen Nights, but that’s what my card instructions say.

ToffeePennie · 14/05/2021 08:20

Having read your updates it clearly is showing you how bright a future you will have now!!

sal1223 · 14/05/2021 10:30

@ToffeePennie thanks for tour reply x
