Was this woman being cruel to her cat? Or was this just a bit of a light-hearted laugh?

So, this woman (on Twitter today,) posted a little video of her cat wanting to come in out of the rain. Kittie was scratching at the window. 'Let me in!' you could hear her cry! (Well I imagined she was saying that.)

The poster received some positive comments and LOLs, but also a load of abusive messages of how utterly cruel she was, and how badly she was treating this lovely creature. Several people even tagged in the RSPCA, saying 'investigate this person!'

Sooooo, in your opinion, was she being cruel to her cat? Or was it just a bit of a laugh?

'YABU' for she was being cruel to her cat.

'YANBU' for it was just a bit of a laugh.

Thanks for participating. Smile

My previous cat was twelve when I moved to a house with a garden, and a catflap.
She liked going out to the garden, but zero interest in learning to use a cat flap.

Our cat would have done that whilst screaming hysterically at being left outside. The moment the door was open however she would have turned around and stalked off.

It's just ridiculous - it's 14 seconds. If it was all day it would be mean, but for a cat to wait 14 seconds is normal.

My girl cat also sits at the window begging to come in even when the door is wide open. Or she throws herself at the door over and over if it's closed.

I don't have a cat flap as I rent, but I can't always let them in/out in two seconds, but don't leave them trapped either.

People don't know real abuse/cruelty.
