Milk chocolate digestives are better than plain chocolate ones.

No real AIBU. There's no question about it. They're better. Sweet and creamy chocolate vs the bitter taste of sadness.

Also people who like the milk chocolate ones are nicer, sexier and generally more fun to be around.

Dark chocolate is far sexier and healthier

It's a bloody chocolate biscuit. Where does healthier come into it Hmm

SuperSange · 08/05/2021 20:54

Milk chocolate is sweet and slimy. Fact

SunsetBeetch · 08/05/2021 20:55

What new fuckery is this?

Wronger than a Wrong Thing from Wrong Island.

Milk chocolate digestives are for those beyond help.

Mookie81 · 08/05/2021 21:02

I thought you meant plain as in the no chocolate ones and thought how is this even a question? Grin
Milk all the way.

Mysterian · 08/05/2021 21:03

Sad to find out there are so many plainophiles about. Sad

@TheKeatingFive

They wouldn't sell it if no one was buying it!

While this is true, it’s also true that market researchers consistently find dark chocolate the most over claimed foodstuff when they compare claimed data with actual purchase data.

The lying liars are lying. Some of them anyway.

I think there's quite a divide. Until they started using separate boxes in Lidl, the 95% was always the first to sell out. So you have the majority buying milk chocolate, a decent minority who like it very dark (searching through the box of 75 and 85% for an elusive bar of 95%, in April 2020 when we weren't meant to be touching anything Blush), and some liars.
scrivette · 08/05/2021 21:14

YABU - plain chocolate is better. It balances out the sweetness of the biscuit.

KipperTheFrog · 08/05/2021 21:15

Milk chocolate on digestives is too sweet. The slightly bitter taste of dark chocolate complements the sweetness of the biscuit.
I will eat a milk chocolate one if that’s all there is. DH will only eat dark chocolate hobnobs, not milk.

the80sweregreat · 08/05/2021 21:15

@TheKeatingFive

You could not be more right.

I secretly think anyone claiming to like dark chocolate more than milk is lying. Trying to make themselves look sophisticated.

There. I said it.

Dark with Stilton on. Lush

Popcornbetty · 08/05/2021 21:23

YABU...the milk chocolate ones pale in comparison and ooze inferiority compared to their indulgent dark and satisfying counterparts! No contest...😀

LunaHardy · 08/05/2021 21:37

Agreed. However, hobnobs are better than digestives. That's a fact.

Bramblebutter · 08/05/2021 21:58

I can't believe there are people out there willing to admit their preference for plain chocolate digestives. What is wrong with this country!!

bridgetreilly · 08/05/2021 22:14

You are correct about the biscuits and wrong about the people. Except me.

Subordinateclause · 09/05/2021 07:24

Good for vegans (the Tesco ones anyway).

ElderMillennial · 09/05/2021 07:43

Obvs

Furiousfive · 09/05/2021 07:47

Hell no! Plain are far superior- milk are too sweet and don't taste chocolatey enouģh

doodlejump1980 · 09/05/2021 07:53

You’re wrong on both counts. A plain chocolate hobnob is the king of biscuits.

Housewife2010 · 09/05/2021 07:53

We always have a packet of dark chocolate digestives and marshmallows in our larder so we can make S'Mores.

lovablequalities · 09/05/2021 08:24

Nope.

Sorry but you are totally wrong.

Mysterian · 09/05/2021 10:06

Hobnobs are not on the table. Although, milk chocolate Hobnobs are much better than dull chocolate ones.

Hobnobs get stuck in your teeth...inferior to choc digestives
