To ask if you eat anything and everything before your period?

AF is due in the next few days, and I've been absolutely STARVING. Nothing can satisfy my appetite and I can't feel full no matter what I eat.

I've noticed this happening over the last few months and wonder if it's related. Is this common?

Yep. It's like my stomach is a black hole before my period.

APJ1 · 02/05/2021 05:03

Yep. I refer to them as my Pac-Man days. I move around munching everything in my path.

Haha, I say the same!

Dita73 · 02/05/2021 06:21

I have one day where I can’t stop eating and another day where I have an insatiable thirst

Whatapalavaa · 02/05/2021 07:35

Yes but now I take the pill back to back (no break, no period), that has stopped.

SunsetBeetch · 02/05/2021 07:57

@Whatapalavaa

Yes but now I take the pill back to back (no break, no period), that has stopped.
Funny I do this and while it's stopped my periods mostly, it hasn't stopped symptoms like this and the extreme tiredness.
FiveGs · 02/05/2021 08:13

Yes and the day I come on my appetite disappears completely for a couple of days.

BoffinMum · 02/05/2021 08:14

I certainly experienced this yesterday. Luckily I’d just been to the supermarket 😁

Fizbosshoes · 02/05/2021 08:18

I get a day where I'm outrageously hungry and want to eat everything the day before my period.but it's literally a surprise every time! 😂

tecatea · 02/05/2021 08:20

always had this but then I'm not hungry when on my period so presume it balanced out.

Animum2 · 02/05/2021 12:02

Same here, for about a week before but then the 1st couple days of my period I lose my appetite and hardly eat anything

LunaMuffinTop · 02/05/2021 12:05

I’m the same mine is due next weekend and my cravings have kicked in my cravings always change I either want chocolate/sweet things or I want savoury things it’s never the same. I’m trying to lose weight but my cravings are really not helping.

FridayNightAtTheBronze · 02/05/2021 15:34

I'm the same. For about two days I eat utter crap- crisps, chocolate, bread, fizzy drinks, anything sugary.

I barely touch that stuff the rest of the month.

I've noticed this a lot more since I've reached my mid thirties, in my late teens and 20s my appetite was normal. So weird!

whatswithtodaytoday · 02/05/2021 15:35

Yes of course, this is a very common thing isn't it?

BeachyPeaches · 03/05/2021 18:04

@CaveMum yes, I have heard that in the past. I take a multivitamin daily so may need to increase my leafy green veg!

Newbie8365 · 03/05/2021 18:22

I have literally just eaten 2 crunchie bars and a kitkat Blush I'm not normally like this, its only when I am due on.

SquigglePigs · 03/05/2021 18:24

Yep, absolutely and generally fancy higher sugar higher fat foods - 50% of my monthly chocolate consumption is in those 3 days and usually either a pizza or fish and chips take away. It's the only time off the month I'm actually hungry first thing in the morning (usually need to be up for 2 hrs before I eat breakfast!).

thelegohooverer · 03/05/2021 18:32

I’m the opposite and eat less the day before. I could skip breakfast and lunch and just not notice.

I’m a weirdo though. I go completely off sex during my fertile days. Mother Nature clearly didn’t want me passing my genes on.

Doingtheboxerbeat · 03/05/2021 18:57

Like a couple of pp have said, I get a fresh bout of amnesia every month as I know why I'm a hungry horris, but also think I have never been as hungry as this before - I literally always am Hmm.

WeeMadArthur · 03/05/2021 19:04

I can tell I’m due because all I get from my brain is “CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE “. It’s all I can think about.
