Worst dates you've ever been on

Was having a good laugh thinking of some of mine and also interested to hear others' experiences.
Went on one once with a man who turned up 45 minutes late without good reason (I had just left him a voicemail saying that I was leaving) when he walked in.

Looked much older than his pictures, refused to tell me his age when I asked him and instead started banging on about 'objectivity and subjectivity' and sat extremely close to me. I had an 'emergency' and left.

Another one told me at the start of our date "oh btw, I'm moving to Australia next month", talked constantly about himself, was incredibly cagey about what he did for work and where he lived, started talking about his "wife", then claimed it was an ex and that they were never married but that he referred to her as his wife.
Then suddenly remembered he had "forgotten" to pay for a belt the day before so could we go and pay for it, so we had to get a bus there and on the way he seemed to know absolutely everybody so we had to keep stopping. I left, then got a random text from him 2 weeks later asking if i preferred classical or hip hop music?

Another one who turned up in a suit for most dates including the cinema, smoked Camel cigarettes and absolutely reeked of them, I told him that I taught English to unemployed people and for some reason he found this hilarious and laughed hysterically.

Quite interesting experiences Grin
Would love to hear other stories.

@LittlestBoho it was 10/12 years ago now. He appeared as a friend recommendation on Facebook a number of years ago and is married with another kid so I hope I was a one off!! I hope he doesn't allow any man to behave like that to his daughter!!!

I’ve got a couple, I can’t decide which is worse!

A guy who I fancied like mad from college. He’d passed me notes via the lecturer so I should’ve known. Anyway we went out and he spent the whole time saying how he’d just been accepted into the army, and how hard it was to get in, he was so lucky being in the army, it was hard to get in. I hadn’t realised he was so boring! I think I have form because I also went on a date where the guy spent the date talking about his job, which was filling up cigarette machines in pubs.

I think the one who really springs to mind though is the one who was in love with his ex still, he would talk about her, show me photos of her and in the end dumped me because he hadn’t fallen in love with me on his our first date like he had her. But the first time I gave him some pleasure, after he’d finished he jumped straight up stating “it sticks to hair” and ran to the bathroom Confused

No where near as bad as some of these. Was on OLD and had spoken to this guy who seemed nice and he invited me out for the evening.

Met at 7 and went for a drink. Got to about 7:45 and I was starting to get hungry, he then suggested we go to another pub and declared 'I've already eaten'. Didn't ask me if I was hungry etc. In hindsight I should have left but was too polite. Went to another pub, I bought this round and some crisps and counted the minutes until I could politely leave. I'd never be so 'polite' now and would say I was hungry and wanted something to eat.

Here's a recent one for you. OLD, his profile said he was late thirties, he's actually at least a decade older. Also said he was 6ft on his profile but he was shorter than me and I'm 5ft6". He talked non stop about him, his job, his great life and when I managed to get a word in he completely ignored me.

He has carried on texting asking for a second date, possibly with our kids, erm no thanks!

Jesus, he sounded like a twat in the first paragraph & then the second paragraph cemented that!! Kids on a second date?! Confused

Mine wasn't the most horrific but he spent most of the time I was there talking about his ex, how amazing the sex was 🤢 but how volatile it was.

Then he fucked off to the toilet (I mean which is fine haha) and declared 'you can get the drinks in while I'm gone' and proceeded to stop & chat to a woman he knew for at least 15 minutes - it may have been longer but I left before he got back to the table.

He had the audacity to text me & ask why I'd left, and he thought it had been going really well! Twat.

Took me to KFC for a 'nice meal', scoffed his chicken and chips like he had never seen food before, picked his chicken out of his teeth whilst I was finishing mine. Dropped me off in the town centre, no way was I giving him my address, tried kissing me... no thanks.

That's just one of them, probably the least gross one to remember!
