Housework Chicken....how long have you held out?

We had a delivery of 90 loo rolls (so a massive package) on Friday.

After watching 3 out of the 4 adults in this house climb over it to get upstairs, I decided to play chicken.

I’m afraid I cracked first, yesterday morning. But only because I saw that someone had opened the large package, taken out an individual pack, taken out a single loo roll and walked off.

I lost my shit and then while I was stomping around the house shouting about ungrateful lazy bastards, I actually slung the package in the cupboard where it lives.

So a six day hold out.

Please come and tell me your best/pettiest/longest lasting games of chicken.

@Nanny0gg if they won't take it out of the basket, what do you think is the liklihood of them folding as they take out of dryer/ off line. I refuse to be solely in charge of washing.

My husband has a favourite coffee mug - it happens to be a reusable one which has cork around it as a heat protection thing, therefore it can't go in the dishwasher. I'm sick of being the only one who washes up the non-dishwashable things, so have not washed up said coffee mug for three weeks. He's definitely noticed, but the penny hasn't dropped that I'm deliberately not washing up his thing, even though I'm still doing the other bits and pieces. I'm surprised tbh, he normally realises he's been a lazy sod after a few days, so I'm just letting this one run for now...

@Albacross

My dh wrote ‘dust’ on the bookcase. I work, he works. If he can write in the dust he can dust it. On principle I am not dusting that bookcase until the word has gone.
Surely you add the word me?

My adult DD put a load of washing on yesterday (mostly her stuff) and when I came home from work it was all drying on the airer. I remarked to DH that my policy of non-intervention in the washing pile seemed to be working, and as that there were four adults in the house it was nice to see someone else take the initiative at long last.

Do you know what DH said? "Are you going to thank her for doing it?"

I asked him why I should thank her for doing her own laundry and he said that it's just nice to thank people. He clearly still thinks that all laundry is my responsibility and that anyone else doing their own is somehow 'helping' me and I need to be grateful. I must confess I may have lost it with him slightly.

@Yellowfish2020

I collected 17 empty toilet paper tubes from the bathroom today. 17 I'm genuinely thinking of leaving
You're more patient than me. We've got 13 and I'm about to go nuclear. And I put all the ones I finish in the bin.

If I'm at the loo and there is an empty loo roll sitting there, I open the door and throw it at the nearest human. Generally works to make a point that I'm not the only one that can put something in the bin.
Feels better to chuck it than leave it where others clearly don't 'see' it.
