To ask my neighbour to remove the male blow up doll from her lounge window?

It's seriously pissing me off. It's been there for two days now, staring at me every time I look out of the lounge window. That's not how I want to spend my days thank you very much.

When my in laws look out of their lounge window they're opposite half a big plastic shark which is attached to the neighbour's wall at bedroom height.
They hate it, which cheers me up no end!

SheldonesqueHasTheWeevils · 10/04/2021 16:12

Poor bugger looks knackered on that pic @oakleaffy

Yawning away...

I've been on one of those dodgy hen dos. The blow up man was torn to shreds before 10pm on night one

memberofthewedding · 10/04/2021 16:51

How would it be malicious gossip if she was telling your landlord something that was a fact?

Malicious does not refer to truthfulness but the intent or wish to stir up trouble for someone. People who go tittle-tattling to their neighbour's landlords with spiteful little tales are pathetic. If the people owned the house they would have no say in whether the occupant displayed a gay pride notice. What gives them the right to attempt to exercise control over someone just because they are a tenant?

hedgehogger1 · 10/04/2021 16:51

Picture so we can judge the lesson level of outrage?

grapewine · 10/04/2021 16:52

@Frequency

You sound like my neighbour. She complained to my landlord about my daughter's pride slogan in her bedroom window. She said it was traumatising her daughter Grin

We removed it. We're having a big fat pride garden party in Pride month. DD is inviting all her gay friends. They're all gonna kiss and cuddle in the garden and wear pride t-shirts. And if she complains about that we're reporting her for hate crimes.

Because yes, I am that petty and my neighbour is as mad as a box of frogs.

This is fabulous! Please report back Grin

Blow up dolls always makes me think of Only Fools And Horses.... 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 I laughed till I cried watching that episode. My Dad was having a phone conversation with his business partner. BPs gf was watching it at their house. Between us we made so much noise that they gave up on the phone conversation.
Everyone raves about DB falling over in the bar but the blow up dolls is far funnier imho!

Shehasadiamondinthesky · 10/04/2021 16:53

That would really piss me off, I'd fantasise about getting a gun and shooting it the fuck down.
Luckily my next door neighbour is made of tougher stuff than me and does all the complaining for the rest of us Grin

Alsohuman · 10/04/2021 17:03

I wonder if you live opposite my friend, OP? I bought her one as a joke once.

JustSleepAlready · 10/04/2021 17:11

Frequency, you sound like a pain in the arse. Why would you rub someone’s face in something just to make them uncomfortable? Your neighbour is allowed to feel uncomfortable. There’s no law stopping people from disliking things. Not that I’m one of them, but ffs. Grow up.

Wheresmyshittingmeat · 10/04/2021 18:29

Here it's. He's rather attractive don't you think?

Wheresmyshittingmeat · 10/04/2021 18:30

Here HE is!

BlueThursday · 10/04/2021 18:45

Maybe it’s the new pampas grass

Mum2jenny · 10/04/2021 18:48

It is sooo bad it just shows that your neighbour has zero taste. Consider yourself thankful it’s not a ‘real’ sex doll!!

SappysCurry · 10/04/2021 18:51

His arms look like sex toys 😂

EmeraldShamrock · 10/04/2021 18:52

Thanks for the pic. Yanbu it is weird and creepy.

serin · 10/04/2021 19:04

OMG that looks like Fred West.

Wheresmyshittingmeat · 10/04/2021 19:24

@serin yes he has the same sideburns! To all those who said I should just not look, I hope you now understand why it can't be avoided.

OP posts:
Wheresmyshittingmeat · 10/04/2021 19:26

@BlueThursday in th3 absence of a front garden it could well be the new pampas grass! How disturbing.

Dullardmullard · 10/04/2021 19:29

@serin

OMG that looks like Fred West.
I’m sorry I chortled at that.
TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 10/04/2021 19:54

HOLD ON!
That's my Dad!
We thought he was still in prison... Shock

anxietyanonymous · 10/04/2021 19:58

I'd put one in my window if i wanted to make a point to a neighbour who kept staring in.

So if you go over and complain you would be playing into her hands potentially. So prepare for a confrontation.

SheldonesqueHasTheWeevils · 10/04/2021 21:04

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles

Grin quality!

Acrasia · 10/04/2021 21:33

Surely, to notice someone staring in at your windows, you’d have to be staring into theirs as well.
