To be really furious about this?

I had my frozen embryo transfer for the final part of this IVF round today. I've been isolating to keep safe and make sure my body is in the best position possible to support a pregnancy.
Anyway, for tea my husband went to cook the chicken sausages he bought from Morrisons yesterday (7th April) and noticed that they went out of date on the 3rd of April! Close escape right? Wrong, because I'd already eaten some for lunch yesterday 😢when they were 4 days out of date!
I'm so fuming and worried that I'm going to get food poisoning and risk the success of the pregnancy. So I suppose I'm asking AIBU to be really angry. And if I was going to get food poisoning would I have started to feel ill already? I'm so so worried! Please advise.

If they were cooked thoroughly then you’ll be absolutely fine.

As other people have mentioned you’re doing more damage by worrying about it.

Best wishes.

I reckon you will be fine as you would have felt food poisoning by now.

Now you have had this upset you should def tackle the stress, get some meditation, deep breathing, take some you time, make relaxing now your priority.

Best of luck x

Not IVF, but I had a poisoning scare in one of my pregnancies. The health people I panicked at told me that your body is over-sensitive in pregnancy and would have chucked the poison out straight away (I was throwing up). It's the worry that's the worst thing.

You're not being hysterical or over reacting, nor do you need to "chill" Hmm. It's perfectly valid that you are worried.

I do think if you had food poisoning, you would have symptoms by now, so hopefully thats reassuring for you.

Best of luck with your IVF journey OP Flowers

Ahh OP, as PPs have said, you’d be ill by now and you’d have noticed if they were dodgy before you ate them. I was going to say you should try to be less stressed but even thinking that sentence made me want to lob a brick through my own window and I’m not even full of hormones. Absolutely best of luck with your IVF, everything crossed for you!

Totally understand how you feel. Been there done that, got the Tshirt. It is totally normal to analyse everything in your situation but you’ll be fine. Best of luck with everything it’s a really stressful time in your life, take care. 💐

Another message to say you would have been ill already.
And another IVF (and ovarian hyper stimulation syndrome sufferer) positive outcome. My 2 , one fresh, one frozen are now 7 and 4 . Very best of luck op, hope all goes smoothly now for you .
