I've name changed just in case as this could be outing but tbh I bet lots of people with my name use Mn.

My name is boo (yes, really Grin)
and tbh i've always disliked it, it reminds me of those cockerpoo/doodletzu/whateverpoo dogs for some reason Grin
By mistake a friend uses english as a second language called me Lou.
And it just felt really right? Shock
I like how it's similar to boo. Wibu to change my name?? Grin

Please post this thread as a warning in all those 'yooneek' baby name threads that are increasing in frequency on MN!

If you like it, then go for it. Personally I wouldn't choose Lou as it sounds like a toilet but as you are over 30 I imagine playground taunting isn't an issue any more. If it were me I would take some time to pick an awesome new name that I loved. I like Boo though!

@Darbs76

Ulrika’s daughter is Bo

Pronounced Boo?

RickiTarr · 07/04/2021 16:06

Pronounced Boo?

Why would Bo be pronounced Boo?

Pretty sure Bo is a scandi (swedish?) name which is pronounced Boo. Given Ulrika's name, I'm sure she's scandi. So that makes sense.

@MolyHolyGuacamole

I would change it in a heartbeat. Horrible for someone to name a child Boo.
No, it isn’t.

What an awful thing to say to any other Boos reading this.

This is why the Swedish Linguaphone ended up in a drawer. Grin
