I already know i'll be told IABU.. Blush

I know he is a bit of a twat sometimes but I can excuse that.

There's something about him..

I bet it's huge too

@SmidgenofaPigeon

In what way has he been a twat?

I’m genuinely curious. The way he stands up for the environment is amazing as is the way he advocates and educates for certain species that are much maligned and some people would see them come to serious harm rather than want to help or understand them is admirable, such as foxes, wasps, spiders, rats etc.

Agree with this, he’s one of life’s good guys, his love of the natural world and animals (particularly his two poodles) is very endearing and makes a good looking man very attractive indeed. Big fan of Chris here.
StormzyinaTCup · 05/04/2021 17:40

Always liked Chris Packham since his days on The Really Wild Show when he rocked spiked blonde hairBlush

I went to one of his talks. He was selling and signing photos at the interval and was really grumpy, even to children who were queuing up. There was also a question and answer at the end and he took exception to one question which was just about grey squirrels and he was very unpleasant. I felt really sorry for the person who asked the question.

I went completely off him after that evening and just think he’s a smug, arrogant twat now.

KillerFlamingo · 05/04/2021 18:01

I can't stand him, he ruins wildlife programs and seems to be on more and more these days. Angry

KillerFlamingo · 05/04/2021 18:05

Extra irritating as I want to like him because DS has ASD and it's good to see it not holding someone back but still... nope!

Branleuse · 05/04/2021 18:08

I bloody love him. Ive loved him since I was a kid watching the really wild show. Id love to be friends with him, hes interesting, clever and hilarious.
I dont want to have sex with him though

RhubarbCustardy · 05/04/2021 18:12

I have a friend who is his double! I like both as people but don't fancy either. Can understand why other people would though.

Griselda1 · 05/04/2021 18:20

I have huge respect for anyone who selflessly raises welfare levels and awareness of our environment. The hatred he's faced is shocking.

ExtraOnions · 05/04/2021 18:26

I’ve exchanged tweets with him a few times, he’s always been really pleasant and funny.

He finds interactions with people hard, due to his Aspergers

He was really nice when my 2 year old barged him out of the way at a bird reserve.

gottakeeponmovin · 05/04/2021 18:57

Yes I think he isbattractive and agree when he had the blind spiky hair he looked hot

CuthbertDibbleandGrubb · 05/04/2021 19:04

I think the success he has had in his career has I hope helped people realise that Aspergers is someone 'differently wired' not a disability.

thebestnamehere · 05/04/2021 19:07

@ButterPopcorn

I find it so weird that statements like “I bet it’s huge too” are in any way acceptable. Imagine if a man posted about a female celebrity he fancied and put “I bet she’s really tight too”. Yuck 🤮
This

Come on ladies

Onthetrain75 · 05/04/2021 19:14

YANBU though I’m quite shocked by some of the comments above.

I thought the recent tv thing he did about aspergers was incredibly moving. He is a fascinating man and it is truly remarkable that he has been so successful in TV given how difficult he finds social interaction. His relationship with his step daughter and partner was very touching.

I grew up not far from him, similar background etc, he is really inspiring and that’s before you even consider all the educational and conservation work he has done.

And he loves dogs almost as much as me. What’s not to love?

SmidgenofaPigeon · 05/04/2021 19:20

Yeah he also is a huge fan of poodles, and I think they are very much underrated as a dog breed these days.

romany4 · 05/04/2021 19:20

Any man who has a passion and is intelligent is a turn on for me.

I adore Neil Oliver for those reasons

Deereamer · 05/04/2021 19:27

I don’t find him physically attractive but I love watching him on TV. I find him really interesting and I love his passion.

PeggyArmstrong · 05/04/2021 19:50

He gives me the utter judders.

Some of the inappropriate shit he came out with to Michaela Strachan the last time I watched one of their Watch shows, maybe it was AutumnWatch last year was utterly creepy. Even Michaela was squirming at times and she must be used to him by now.

I really got the feeling that she was very thankful to be up in Scotland with the seals rather than being anywhere near Creep Packham in the New Forest.

capercaillie · 05/04/2021 19:51

You are not wrong - this is why I am a huge springwatch fan. Also looks v good for his age.

EssexLioness · 05/04/2021 19:54

Those saying he seemed grumpy when signing photos etc, he is autistic so struggles massively with these sorts of things. Maybe that’s why he might seem off/ grumpy sometimes because he is overwhelmed in a difficult situation and doing the best he can.
I think he is wonderful. Always seems kind and genuinely passionate about the environment. He has put up with dreadful bullying too. Numerous instances of local farmers stringing up dead birds or foxes to his gate. Can’t imagine coming home to find that.

YANBU - I had a massive crush on him when he was on the Really Wild Show...and I still do!

Incidentally I had a bit of a thing for someone IRL a while ago who was on paper not at all my type...then a friend described him as having a 'Packham-like manner' and it all made sense Grin

allthegoodusernameshavegone · 05/04/2021 20:03

I’ve met him, it’s a big NO WAY from me, the mans an arrogant arse.

GlutenFreeGingerCake · 05/04/2021 20:04

I know CP is a celeb and a TV presenter and does well out of it but I still think it's unfair to judge his likeability based to a short meeting in a stressful, crowded place and inappropriate comments he may have made, when we know he has ASD and those are the very things ASD can affect. Judge him on what his friends say about his character and you are more likely to get a true picture of what he is really like as a person.

HelpfulBelle · 05/04/2021 20:06

I prefer Terry Nutkins 🐿

JOKING!!!!!!! Confused

GeidiPrimes · 05/04/2021 20:33

I'd say he is an attractive and probably interesting man.

I bet it's huge too

I kind of want to ask what's drawn you to this conclusion OP, but I doubt he'd be overjoyed to have his penis discussed on MN.

Really weird OP - I only hear stuff like this on shows like Mrs. Browns Boys. Never heard an actual woman wax lyrical about a stranger's apparent "huge"ness.
