We are a family of 6 with 4 dc between 7-13 yo
Haven't seen pil since last summer because Covid

Normally at Easter we spend time with them and do an egg hunt in the garden. Not possible this year/ they live too far away not to stay over.

They have sent us (without asking) 48 yes 4 dozen creme eggs.
Wtf are we meant to do with them all?!

Send them to us?

Givemeabreak88 · 02/04/2021 19:22

Wow no the wonder shops have sold out

RandomMess · 02/04/2021 19:22

Surely you still do an Easter Egg hunt with them?

toffeebutterpopcorn · 02/04/2021 19:23

Easter egg hunt!

folloyourarro · 02/04/2021 19:23

Well that's 8 each, quite easily eaten in 1-2 weeks!

Harryo · 02/04/2021 19:24

Foodbank?

Morgan12 · 02/04/2021 19:25

Oh my god the bastards

B33Fr33 · 02/04/2021 19:25

Can they distribute them to friends on a walk?

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 02/04/2021 19:25

We recieve a box of 50 creme eggs every year. They last months. Some are used in baking. Others are eaten.

You don't have to eat them all at once!

ZackaryQuack · 02/04/2021 19:25

Put them in the fridge and eat them over the next few weeks?

orchidsonabudget · 02/04/2021 19:26

we normally get them to hunt for the small mini creme egg size - am I really tight?!? I don't mind one creme egg but 8 each is a LOT -

OP posts:
Sidesaladofchips · 02/04/2021 19:26

Err do an egg hunt? What am I missing here?

Jumpers268 · 02/04/2021 19:26

Maybe they thought you might still want to do an Easter egg hunt in the garden for your DC? Plus as @folloyourarro said above. 8 creme eggs each. I could probably do that in 1 sitting to be fair.

Skyliner001 · 02/04/2021 19:27

Food bank and but your own 😊

milinhas · 02/04/2021 19:28

Keep them, say thank you and distribute slowly over the next X weeks / months? This is such a non-problem, YABU.

Sparklesocks · 02/04/2021 19:30

I think 48 is a box size you can buy directly from the Cadbury site so they might have got click happy on there.
Surely you don’t have to eat them all over this weekend? You could parcel them out over the coming weeks.

Or whack some on the Olio app or similar.

RandomMess · 02/04/2021 19:30
Confused

They don't have to eat them all at once!

Well it is a lot to eat at once, but it isn’t a lot to eat over six months. For goodness sake, talk about looking for problems.
BrutusMcDogface · 02/04/2021 19:33

Eat them? 🤔
How very dare they send you some creme eggs so that you might have fun despite them not being able to share it with you. I mean, really.
Hmm

GreenSlide · 02/04/2021 19:34

Aw that is super stingy!

mackleless · 02/04/2021 19:34

How is this a problem? They don’t expire within a week. Surely you just....ignore them in a cupboard until you fancy one over the next year. It’s not like they sent you a fresh cream cake 🙄

pheasantsinlove · 02/04/2021 19:35

YABU and Hmm that you are annoyed that they tried to do a nice thing for your family. As for your question... your supposed to hide them.

Hey2492 · 02/04/2021 19:36

I would love this. Easter egg hunt?

Hey2492 · 02/04/2021 19:36

@Givemeabreak88

Probably bought in bulk from Amazon or Cadbury online. You can buy a box of them 😂
DorisDances · 02/04/2021 19:37

Misses point of thread but how can you use them in baking?
