Things that I HOPE people will cringe at in 5 years time:
Influencers who basically spend their lives posting selfie’s and travelling and call it work - and many influencers in general. Why do we admire these people? Why are they held up by so many? I hate the term influencer, I hope that fizzles
Likewise - Instagram poses. I miss smiling photos. Pouts, tongues out - eww. And the poses - instead of looking at the camera, looking down at the floor and yourself with a face like your just admiring yourself. One arm gently resting on a balcony wall or such, while one leg is bent up on standing on its toes. The effort is ridiculous.
A few years back I was at a popular attraction in California. There was an unofficial photo spot and a normal tourist had no hope of getting to it. There was a huge line of teenage girls / young women, all letting their hair down and brushing it while waiting, and then all doing the same poses. One looking down, one looking in the distance as if lost in thought, one standing with their back to the camera, Hope tilted and hands up. It’s so boring!!!
Yet funny in the masses. I just hope that this kind of SM fades. Fat chance of that.
What I think WILL fade and be cringing in 5 years:
Leggings and leggings possibly but I’ve been wearing them for a decade. They’ll still be there (leggings only under tunics / dresses I should add)
Sliders and socks. Awful
Grey homes
I don’t know exact name - but the tie string bikinis where the string on the bottoms is really high up the waist, making the bottoms form a V Only works on certain shaped women and I think many will cringe.
