To ask about your low level disappointments today (light hearted)

I'm in bed feeling like shit after the vaccine. Shivering and fever. Husband goes to chippy as he doesn't cook and I can't and thought I might manage a few chips (said in a wavering pathetic voice). He got me some. No salt and vinegar. I'm so upset. I'm going to give up on today and go to sleep. How about you?

Scrambled eggs were perfect, then got a phone call which lasted an hour. Cue cold, ugh scrambled eggs when I'd finished

The machine had run out of Diet Coke. I had to have low sugar Fanta. Don’t really like Fanta.

I ate all the Maltesers, and now I have no Maltesers left. It's a cruel, cruel world.

I went to make a nice mug of hot chocolate before bed to find DC had finished it all and not told us. I knew it was getting low so DH was meant to buy more when he was shopping yesterday and it's the one thing he forgot to pick up. I'm having a cup of tea instead but it's just not the same.

I ordered pizza, which is a rare treat for me as nobody else in the house likes it, so I was really looking forward to it. While I was eating it I kept thinking there was something different about it. It was still nice but I couldn't quite put my finger on what the difference was. Then I got to the crust and thought it was very dry. That's when it hit me - I forgot to order stuffed crust I live for that stuffed crust, even ordered a huge tub of garlic dip especially for it. Far superior I every way and I was massively disappointed.

I finished night shift this morning, yesterday morning? Thursday!. Had a bath, food & got a reasonably early night. Only to now be wide awake. Grrrr. I just went downstairs to make some tea, went to get my secret Turkish delight Only to discover some bastard has eaten it. Now I'm tired & grumpy

I'm waiting for a kitten to be old enough to collect him to bring him home to be my new little mate. Today I realised it's still 25 days off.

It was my last meeting on a committee today and they forgot to say goodbye. I’m over sensitive to this sort of thing.

I got the call to pick up my daughter from nursery, because she had a rash. My husband had the day off and we were going to spend it together.
He went to work, it was a heat rash that disappeared when we changed her outfit when we got home. :(

I thought I'd done all of my work emails for the day. Realised I hadn't logged in properly. Logged in. Loads of emails.

Oh no. Lots of disappointment all round. Feel like I've been kicked in the kidneys snd am tired today but a lot better. Thanks for all the well wishes. I'm well enough to go to shop and select my own treats today. Here's hoping for no extra high level disappointment such as no custard doughnuts left, only jam, just as an example...

A fellow jabbed one here. I threw up yesterday, and I don't know whether it was from the side effects of the jab or whether I'm ill. I meant to go shopping today and prepare some nice special foods for tomorrow (Passover) but I don't know whether I should. Bad enough to have to have another socially distanced Zoom Passover - I don't want to give those of my family who are here food poisoning on top of it!

Hope you feel better soon. The side effects only last a few days, apparently.

I treated myself to an almond croissant this morning and when I got home it was smashed flat like a pancake. I ate it grumpily and bit the inside of my cheek

I've got a migraine brewing now. It's punishment for complaining I tell you...
I'd be annoyed at all these things you've all typed mind you. They're all as annoying as my other annoyance today- walking in an invisible bit of water in my kitchen in clean, (previously) dry socks

I've got a cold and have eaten a shit load of biscuits, cheese and crackers and now a big mac and fries and none of it has satisfied the cold cravings! I now just feel snotty and greasy. Woe is me!

My dicentra spectabilis still isn't showing any signs of sprouting.

I lack the patience to be a good gardener.

I suppose so Fairyliz, but the children would just know that I'd been eating their eggs! Fortunately Tesco will (I hope!)bring me a 360g bar this evening.

Fingers crossed that's not it. I do the LF tests twice weekly and have been clear so far. Also feel a lot better today.

My car is in the garage as the indicators are on the blink () - it’s been in since yesterday as they’ve had to order a new indicator stalk. I was hoping the part would’ve arrived by now but I haven’t heard anything so it’s looking likely it won’t get there until Monday. Sigh. I was hoping to have it back this weekend so I could do a big food shop.
