during an argument?

funnylittlefloozie · 18/03/2021 19:22

Genuinely no, I have never pushed my teenager over. I don't think anyone has pushed me over in anger since I was about 8.

Scarlettpixie · 18/03/2021 19:23

You need to give more details to get anything out of this. Who are you talking about? What post?

SmileyClare · 18/03/2021 19:23

Look Op spit it out Well quite. No one can comment really with so little to go on

Scarlettpixie · 18/03/2021 19:23

But no, I haven’t pushed my teenager over.

ArosAdraDrosDolig · 18/03/2021 19:24

Has your dp pushed your teenager over, OP?

Mamette · 18/03/2021 19:25

No, it isn’t normal if that’s what you’re wondering.

FlibbertyGiblets · 18/03/2021 19:26

I think op is the teen. Hence asking are they safe.

insancerre · 18/03/2021 19:28

I’ve never had a physical fight with anyone in my family since about 1977 when my younger brother grew bigger than me

zeitgeista · 18/03/2021 19:28

my mum and i had an argument earlier today, i can't go into too much detail but she pushed me harshly out of the way, with no provocation by me. she's now telling me this never happened, that i'm a liar, that i always make my own stories up etc.

OP posts:
Cocopogo · 18/03/2021 19:30

No but I’ve slapped them a few times

zeitgeista · 18/03/2021 19:34

i assume you had good reason to though?

OP posts:
Meowchickameowmeow · 18/03/2021 19:35

So did she push you out of the way or push you over? While neither is ok there is a difference.
If you want opinions and advice you need to give some context to your problem.

zeitgeista · 18/03/2021 19:36

sorry, to me they are the same thing. she pushed me very harshly backwards into something.

OP posts:
RLJ1905 · 18/03/2021 19:36

Sorry to hear that, op. It's never ok to use physical aggression with anyone, let alone your children. That's disgusting behaviour from your mum.
Is this the first time your mum has laid her hands on you?

Bluetrews25 · 18/03/2021 19:38

How old are you?
This is to help us to help you. There is a world of difference between a 14 yo and a 19yo and the advice we might give.

bloodywhitecat · 18/03/2021 19:38

Just because she denies it now doesn't mean your version of events isn't true. Did I ever push my own teens over? No, never. Was I pushed over as a teen by mum? Yes, though like your mum, mine denies my version of events too.

And is your baby safe?

nimbuscloud · 18/03/2021 19:39

Is this the first time she has done this?

SmileyClare · 18/03/2021 19:39

Would you be eligible for your own place through the council? You say you have a baby so I assume you're living with your mum? As already pointed out, you need to explain your situation, your relationship with your mum and your living arrangements so that posters can advise.

WinstonsWeirdVole · 18/03/2021 19:40

Oh OP, that is not OK at all Flowers Was this the first time it’s happened?

zeitgeista · 18/03/2021 19:40

i feel as though i can't trust my own memory of what happened anymore because everytime we have even a minor disagreement, she tells me that it didn't happen like how i said it happened, on many occasions she has screamed in my face that i'm a fucking liar, she shouts at my dad if he doesn't back her up and i am an only child so i have no one at home who would have witnessed it to back me up, so i sometimes question whether what i think has happened, actually happened.

OP posts:
zeitgeista · 18/03/2021 19:41

yes my baby is 100% safe, as am i.

Bluetrews25 · 18/03/2021 19:43

Ok, are you going to school or college at the moment? Can you speak to your tutor? This sounds like a safeguarding issue.
If you aren't at school / college can you contact your heath visitor some time?
What do you want to happen?
Do you want to live separately from her?

Bluetrews25 · 18/03/2021 19:44

This changing of history is called gaslighting. Look it up. It is done by abusive people.
