Kevin McCloud has become my guilty pleasure during lockdown. Despite the jaunty scarves ! Are there any other ladies out there lusting after Kevin ?

I like George Clarke's friend with the long hair that wears hats. What's his name?

He's a bit short for me... but who cares when you're lying down fnar fnar

PoochiePlush · 16/03/2021 02:26

Will Hardie...! Oh yes please...!

For me it's Kevin McClouds eloquence. I call him my eloquent crush. Dreamy.

He reminds me of Captain Hastings in Poirot.

Watch the programme from a few years back where he went and stayed in a slum in India, that should put you off!

@macaronirabbit

Kevin mccloud comes across as a bit superior and uses too many poncy words to describe a house (that usually looks similar to the one the previous week) theres literally a check list for grand designs
  • state budget
-start build
  • discover the woman is pregnant
-live in caravan
  • poor weather (ie standard British winter) causes calamitous delay to the project
  • run out of money
  • have 3 ton specialised triple glazed windows delivered from germany
  • have baby
  • find an extra 120k from mystery funds
  • finish house and furnish 3000 square ft house with 3 pieces of furniture and a lamp.

I actually don’t find him patronising or unpleasant. I think sometimes he has a really lovely warm relationship with the homeowner and his admiration and respect for craftsmanship and good architecture really comes through. He always seems genuinely pleased when the end result is a beautiful home. There are some shows where he doesn’t like the design or takes against the homeowner - but I like those too because he can be breathtakingly rude and I sort of admire his brutal honesty!

God, no. He looks like a vicar who smells a bit like cabbage.

George Clarke always looks a bit dazed, as if someone has hit him over the head with a frying pan.

I quite like that dog trainer bloke. Graham something, off Dogs Behaving Very Badly. Tall and a snappy dresser.

LesLavandes · 16/03/2021 23:55

He used to be a lighting designer.

@TomorrowIsAnotherDae

George Clarke has humongous feet!
That's because he's really tall and mentions it at every given opportunity!.

Back to the OP, my mother once confessed to liking Kevin. It's a no from me!
