Is this homemade mothers day gift naff?

I am super close with my MIL and am on a tight budget this month and wanted to make her something special from me for mothers day. My DH has got her some little things and me and the kids made cards yesterday. ....

Anyway here it is she's got a great sense of humour and uses the word gobshite all the time.

I’d be tempted to make it into a card so she doesn’t feel like she has to display it. Not everyone gets that kind of honour.

Am hoping she does display it she wont care about swearing on her wall she has some very outrageous fridge magnets. If she doesnt put it up I won't be offended just hope she likes it ....It took bloody hours

I think it's really thoughtful and well made. A handmade personal gift is a lovely idea. I swear a lot but wouldnt want a swear word on my wall but maybe you mil wouldn't mind that. Only you would know!

Sewing is lovely and although if normally cringe at no capital letters I think the small g worlds beautifully in this in that font. Unforgivable if it was a proper noun though

I made my mum a very sweary embroidery hoop a few years back. Still hangs in her bedroom!

Only you know whether your MIL will like it. But it would be a no from me. Unless it was from one of my children (probably not when they’re grown up though - sorry).

If my kids did something similar with the words 'fucking bollocks' on it...it would be me to a tee 🤣 That's my 'go to' swearing ranty phrase 🤣. I'd love it 👍🥰
