So went downstairs about 20 mins ago to pop to the toilet came upstairs and seen my daughter needed a bottle. So went back down to make it.. however seen that our pesky cat must've knocked the tub off the side. Milk tub was on the floor with the scoop on the floor also. A tiny bit of milk had fell out but luckily there's only 1/4 of a tub left. I picked it
Up and washed the scoop with kettle boiling water. But now I'm not sure of making a bottle with powder that had fell on the floor.

Partner says it's ok as it's not like
I've scooped milk off the floor and then put it in a bottle and that the milk remained in the tin and the scoop was washed with soap and boiling water. What do you reckon? Am I over reacting?

19 months - does she go to nursery?
They eat anything off the floor, lick toys, lick each other, share each other's cups.... she will be fine.

Hello OP ! I'm sure your baby girl will be fine, as you're making up the formula with boiling water which should kill the germs. I would also think about it though, so I understand. My 13 month old licks the floor and I have a dog..

Sorry for hijacking your thread.. but when do babies stop wanting a bottle at night time ? Whether that be milk or formula? I understand you're meant to stop bottles from 12 months and give them milk in a cup etc. But when will that stop too ? When will the nightly milk thing stop ? Whether through a bottle or not ? Just wondering ! Mine is still having a bottle twice a day ( she has goats milk ) and absolutely loves it ! Loves it much more than formula actually. But I can tell she's taking less of it than at the beginning. I know I'm now supposed to start transitioning onto a cup, away from the bottle.. but when will there be no kind of ' milk feed '? Or do they always have that in some way ?

a long time ago when my dc were babies a friend of mine with same age babies said that she stopped sterilizing bottle when she found her crawling baby eating a tea bag from her kitchen rubbish bin
her dc was never ill

Jeez. What's with the 101 questions about OP's life. Does it matter what time she does her shopping, does it affect you? No is the answer.
So what she has milk. My 20 month old still has cows milk.

Glad you got some helpful answers OP.

I’ve caught my one year old eating an old teabag before! She’s unreal. She has also eaten many, many cat biscuits. She is so quick! And sort of smirks at me as she’s racing away so I know she is eating something she shouldn’t be!
