Artsy-
My teacher scribbled on a piece of paper for us to colour in. It was so simple but the whole class went mad for it!

physical-
Having a few kids in a circle lifting up a sheet and trying to run to the other side before it falls.

That sounds exactly like my experience @Letsunabath! The accidents that could have happened (but didn't). Also, we used to hang around in the local churchyard (but not being disrespectful all). It was always very peaceful.

We several times managed to get into unlocked abandoned houses too.

Like many others, reading (Famous a five etc, Anne of Green Gables series, Little House) playing in the nearby woodland and riding.

I continue to be able to read for hours (anything really, less books nowadays and more internet stuff)

Playing patience and clock patience, and canasta (!) with my sister, the last seems oddly sophisticated but we loved it! I also loved What! which I have now realised after buying for my children is basically Uno.

Constructo straws, and Mastmermind, and Sorry and Mousie Mousie.

My best friend and I used to make potions/cosmetics from the slim pickings in my Mum's bathroom cabinet, basically Oil of Ulay.

I used to dream of being a writer and stand in Smiths fantasising about the typewriters.

We did later get a BBC computer, and I then loved Frogger and Snapper plus something called Night Lore.

French skipping was fun at school, definitely. While it lasted. Seemed to come and go all of a sudden.
