The Marc Jacobs ad with the women saying, "Dasiy, dasiy, dasiy," over and over gets on my wick. Irrational I know. What ads irritate you?

I can't stand the toothpaste one asking "where do dentists go to clean their teeth"

Of course they go home, are we supposed to think that all dentists just pop round to each other each morning and night to clean each other's teeth

I can't stand that "are you gonna bingo?" ad.

The Maltesers ones that are jump people chomping maltesers and silence

That Sky one thats been on for what must be years now. Every 5 minutes is "wooouldnt it be nice if we were older etc"

Any that mentions “we’re all in this together” or “in these unprecedented times”.

The one where the woman is facetiming her mum whilst trying feed a baby crying her eyes out, (ok we've all been there and it's awful) but the awful acting really irritates me I have to switch over quick, I have no idea what it's advertising.

I never watch 'normal' tv, stream everything. Unfortunately that means if I'm watching something like all4 I tend to see the same three bloody adverts for ages because they don't change them over. Current pet hate is the Facebook portal one where the grandma is giving breastfeeding advice to her daughter. People were gushing on Facebook about how wonderful it was, normalising breastfeeding, bringing a tear to their eye etc etc. Except Portal is a Facebook product. And Facebook will zap any breastfeeding photos in a second if there's a hint of nipple or curve of breast but are quite happy to leave violent or semi pornographic posts up for ages or forever if they decide there's nothing wrong with them. The cynical and hypocritical marketing makes my teeth itch.

The Peleton one, which has appeared over and over while dh has been watching My Greek Odyssey on London Live. While I’m at it, why anyone would want to pay a lot of money to exercise with a sweaty American bloke shouting at you, defeats me.

Oh! I’ve just remembered the ABC Mouse ads that are on kids tv. Totally geared towards the American education system and bad sincere acting. Not sure why anyone thought it would translate to a uk audience.

And I also HATE that advert. I don't even know why! The bad acting, the naff 'how are my love?' 'oh get him in a rugby grip my love,' and 'oh you're doing a great job my love!' in a voice like Kim Woodburn!

And like a few others, I hate the ads where a classic dance or rock song is crucified by a breathy female singer.

And yes, I ALSO hate the ads for incontinence pads, and the vile advert where someone spits blood into the sink. The latter is vile, and it's ALWAYS on at bloody mealtimes.

Finally, I also HATE the covid ad, where they show very sick people in hospital, and say 'look them in the eyes and tell them you're doing all you can to stop the spread of Covid-19?!' Like many others, yes I AM doing everything I can, and so is almost everyone I know.. So fuck off with your condescending passive aggressive bollocks.

I hate the andrex ... 'I feel as clean as a monkey's tit' ads, but I haven't seen them for about a year.

Oh and finally, I HATE the tampax ad - 'you gorra gerrum right up there girlz!' Though I haven't seen THAT for about a year either.

I think I've seen the breastfeeding Mum one face-timing her mother. Admittedly I didn't have my best glasses on but it looked like she was trying to feed that baby through her t-shirt so no wonder it wasn't working.
