Annoying adverts

The Marc Jacobs ad with the women saying, "Dasiy, dasiy, dasiy," over and over gets on my wick. Irrational I know. What ads irritate you?

The covid ad- in particular the look them in the eyes one. I can’t put into words why so much (I’m a healthcare worker following the rules) but it unsettles me- almost like we are blaming some people for getting covid in the first place.

The new oat milk one-the kid talking about his dad having cows milk. It just wasn’t clear what they were advertising. My DH had to explain it

Oh God that one had my sister (LDs, autism) in a hell of a lot of distress - at that point our aunt was v seriously ill with covid, sister didn’t sleep for days after seeing that bloody advert . Kept asking if Aunty C looked like that .

All moonpig adverts. All of them.

And the latest card advert (can't remember which brand) with really shite humour "Or how about 'thankyou mum for wiping my bum when I was little'". So edgy and cute at the same time Confused

I hate the dentures ad, the teeth bashing on the food makes my own mouth go into shock! Weird I know but it makes me all tingly....

@exercisewoe I’m sorry that it affected your sister in that way. I hope your aunt is doing ok and your sister is less worried. I’ve had conversations with relatives over the phone and a common theme is them blaming themselves for giving to a relative for things like going to the supermarket or providing care etc. I know they are meant to make people think twice about breaking the rules etc but you can follow all the rules and still get covid. To be honest I think the people who are going to break the rules in a big way will do so regardless of the advert and it just piles on guilt to others who are simply trying their best.

Galbani, where the dumb people keep mis pronouncing a simple word repeatedly. Gets really annoying. The other ad I hate is Purple bricks, where the woman purposefully pretends to fall off her bike.

adverts with all their big dopey eyes staring pleadingly at us asking us to protect them. I just want to give them all a slap.

Nationwide - I actually have a hatred for them that is not normal. Every single one over the MANY fucking years, has me irrationally angered.

I always think about these threads - the marketing companies have done well as here we are talking about them - no such thing as bad publicity and all that. Marc Jacobs daisy is now in my head and I’ve never even heard of if or seen the ad!

There was one on STV that made us go WTAF!

We heard "Are you struggling with the cost of living? Well, you should worry about the cost of dying!"

It was brutal, think it was some funeral insurance, we were ShockConfused

The vacuum one where they keep saying "what does that mean?".
The oxo one annoys me as well. If my dc had worn their kits to and from the club the instructor would not have been impressed.

The Daisy one is rubbish , but it's been the topic of a thread at least twice now if not more.
It's also been on for years , so they haven't even bothered with a new one. The models in it must be earning a few bob out of it too ( do they get repeat fees ? I'm not sure how ads work to be fair !)

Someone always says that on these threads and, while yes, we are talking about the ads - we’re talking about how much we hate them! No one has said ‘I hate the Nationwide ads, but now that I know about them I’ll open an account tomorrow’.

The new Halifax one where the 2 young lads kicking the ball with the build up should at least be a Premier Footballer kicking it back to them and to add insult to injury the no mark ball kicker indicates "after you" to someone who was already before them anyway, lol.
