to think internet shaming people for legal behaviour is shitty behaviour

My FB is awash with petitions to ban some South African woman for posting pictures of giraffe hunting. People are calling her murderous scum and all sorts. Now I'm not a fan of trophy hunting personally but like it or not, it's legal. AIBU to think that joining a baying internet mob to hound a woman who has done nothing illegal is pretty shitty behaviour in its own right? And no I won't be signing your petition. Lobby to make trophy hunting illegal if you care that much.

Killing defenceless animals and bragging about it deserves an internet pile on

So as long as it's not bragged about then it's ok? Because there's a lot of cruel practice in food production that doesn't seem to get anywhere near the same attention, and to my mind, is far worse than the shooting of an animal after, presumably, living a happy life. Wheres the pile on for that?

I do not eat animals so of course I do not think it is okay

But bragging about it is a whole other level of wrong!

There are some truly horrendous in this world
