If the NHS are doing it, it must be medically necessary. They won’t do it for cosmetic reasons (unless you’re trans)

Surely if the reduction has been approved then it's necessary for the health and well-being of the recipient?

The NHS wouldn't be doing it on a perfectly healthy person. You can't just rock up and ask for smaller boobs. If someone is having this done then their life will be being seriously impacted by their breast size, so of course they need it.

Having very large breasts can cause a lot of pain and they only approve surgery if it's really bad.

If it’s being done on the NHS it will not be being done on a “perfectly healthy person”. It will be to meet a health need. It was hard to get these covered by the NHS pre-pandemic, can only imagine it’s even tougher now
