My friend does this in text, I don't know why.

Never seen this. What does it mean? Is it like FFS?

TanteRose · 23/02/2021 07:34

As in "oh for fucks sake!"

Just a shortened form - avoiding the use of fuck?

See also FFS

HugeAckmansWife · 23/02/2021 07:35

Not seen it but I understand what it means. Weird txtspk thing I guess.. If its on here, sometimes people don't realise they can swear v

TanteRose · 23/02/2021 07:35

Fuxache, cross post... Grin

sbhydrogen · 23/02/2021 07:36

I have never seen it like that before. Maybe they're tired of their phone autocorrecting to "duck's sake".

You should politely point out "FFS" as the right alternative.

TheFuckingDogs · 23/02/2021 07:40

Ooh yep that’s confusing, I was reading it as “fucks ash” surely FFS will suffice

jenniuol · 23/02/2021 07:42

Ha I’ve never seen that Blush

Chicchicchicchiclana · 23/02/2021 07:43

People write all sorts of shorthand in texts. Did you not know?

DanielRicciardosSmile · 23/02/2021 07:44

I think its just your friend who does that.

FallenSky · 23/02/2021 07:44

I've never seen anyone use it. It would irrationality annoy me too.

BeyondMyWits · 23/02/2021 07:46

Gets round the swearing filters on certain sites.

MichelleScarn · 23/02/2021 07:47

I blearily read it as a weird way to right 'faceache' which makes no sense, but no idea why write that and not ffs!

staydazzling · 23/02/2021 07:47

i read that like faceache Grin, fuxache sounds nasty Grin

Ileflottante · 23/02/2021 07:49

If she’s so determined to do this ludicrous thing, why doesn’t she write it as ‘fuxake’? Which would be more (but not) correct.

DisgruntledPelican · 23/02/2021 07:51

Same as writing “bollox” rather than “bollocks”, I guess

IsAnybodyListening · 23/02/2021 07:52

No idea. But an old friend was tagged in a photo on social media the other day and she claimed she was 'So Inbaresst' by the picture and I can't stop thinking about it.

Myheadmyheart · 23/02/2021 07:53

Never seen that.

NoBetterthanSheShouldBe · 23/02/2021 07:57

Never seen it.

Not the same thing but I know someone who writes discusting...and it annoys me

AllGonnaLaughAtYou · 23/02/2021 08:06

It's on urban dictionary, so definitely not just your friend.
I dislike it immensely

DavidsSchitt · 23/02/2021 08:09

Never seen that written before. It's just your friend

Lindy2 · 23/02/2021 08:14

As far as I know, people don't write that. I think it's only your friend.

😂😂😂😂

...and now I’ve just dated myself as an old Gen Xer, thanks to the LOLing/crying emoji.

Five67Eight · 23/02/2021 08:19

I’ve seen it on here - it’s definitely not just your friend.

I think people think they’re being clever.
