Posting here for traffic.....

I'm fortunate in a number of ways to be in a decent job with a steady salary and have a manager who appreciates the work I do. Net result is I'm getting a small bonus. And him indoors has said I must make sure I treat myself. I like the idea of getting something nice and frivolous but can't really think of anything. I did jokingly suggest we/he/I book a cleaner for a good spring clean and he looked horrified. (he hates having strangers in the house)

So any ideas what I could get myself? I recently bought a bottle of Issy Miyake perfume (free with Nectar points) - that will last me a few years. I don't need any new clothes as I'm working from home. I stocked up on all my hobby needs before lockdown a year back. I'd love a massage but that's not going to happen any time soon. I'd also love a haircut but I'm going to insist on DH dealing with that shortly.

So what would you spend say £100 on - just for you?

Rathbourne candles - they’re so beautiful. I like jo Malone ones too.

Bedding.

New pyjamas or underwear.

A foot massager.

Massages and pedicures are my go to treat too - ohh how I miss the luxury!

Books
A hair cut
More books

Womencanlift · 22/02/2021 17:42

OP why don’t you look at the ‘what have you bought in lockdown’ thread that is currently ongoing. You may get inspiration there.

I would also recommend a Hotel Chocolat velvetiser or a heather throw.

Enjoy your bonus!!

Put it towards a new BBQ.
A garden hammock.
New wine glasses,
An Air Fryer, or one of those outside pizza ovens.
A fire pit for the garden.
A Radley purse.

The cleaner. But if I couldn’t have that, maybe new/existing bedding, pay to have it washed and ironed for the hotel bed feeling.

StopGuacAndRoll · 22/02/2021 18:05

A magazine subscription with the ‘rule’ that every time one arrives I get an hour with it and a nice cup of tea.

Well done!

Chogg2020 · 22/02/2021 18:52

Definitely a restaurant quality neal at home. I miss eating out so much and take always aren’t the same but I recently came across this food delivery service (www.thepullumsdelivered.com) and it was outstanding. Three delicious courses that I just popped into the oven to reheat and felt so luxurious for the bargain price of £60 (for us both). Well worth the money and perhaps with the change I’d buy myself a new top / bottle of fizz to make it a special night

PussyCatInChristmasStockings · 22/02/2021 18:56

Decent slippers, not cheepo supermarket ones, and a good pair of trainers.

Meowchickameowmeow · 22/02/2021 18:57

A few skeins of gorgeous hand-dyed sock yarn.

Holothane · 22/02/2021 19:02

Dr who blu ray sets.

IceCreamAndCandyfloss · 22/02/2021 19:35

I’d buy a few hobby bits, nice chocolate, new pjs and kindle books.

NeedToGetOuttaHere · 22/02/2021 19:36

I thought the cleaner idea was a really good one.

PurBal · 22/02/2021 19:46

I think COVID-19 has lowered my sights. Current treats include a blood orange from the local greengrocer and a kitkat.

seriousandloyal · 22/02/2021 19:50

Lipstick, new books, some chocolate and a nice candle.

larrythelizard · 22/02/2021 19:56

Something to make my home office nicer. Probably a candle. Although I have the neom oil diffuser and love it!

Changeisconstant · 22/02/2021 19:59

Cashmere socks from white company (MIL got me some after having DS and they're incredible).
My UGG dressing gown DH got me a few years ago is also lovely, it's heavy but not fluffy. I love wearing it.
A white company candle or home fragrance.
Nice bed sheets.
Books! Or a new kindle maybe.

rosegoldwatcher · 22/02/2021 20:06

I came on here to suggest a bottle of Armani Prive perfume but you are sorted scent-wise.

Gorgious bedlinen in painterly florals from John Lewis - MM linens.

SpudsandGravy · 22/02/2021 20:08

I'd go for the cleaning, if that's what you'd like. Doesn't really matter if DP doesn't like the idea - unless he will agree to do it?

CatCup · 22/02/2021 20:11

Spa day!

LakieLady · 22/02/2021 20:16

I'd wait for beauty salons to open again and have a deluxe pedicure and a full body massage.

Tal45 · 22/02/2021 20:24

I think I'd hold on to it and wait till there was something I really wanted or things opened up more.

Ahwig · 22/02/2021 20:26

My son bought me a white company electric diffuser. It’s absolutely gorgeous , it turns out to be the best present I never knew I wanted

GalaxyGirl24 · 22/02/2021 21:08

A nice facial oil (maybe something by Caudalie or Elemis), a nice body oil and some beauty tools - derma roller, lymphatic drainage roller for body and for face - to get ready for summer

GalaxyGirl24 · 22/02/2021 21:10

Ooooh and some new Doc Martens or some new trainers!

EveryDayIsADuvetDay · 22/02/2021 21:14

Jo Malone perfume - but you've just bought your favourite.
Save if for April When restaurants have reopened
Or May if you'd prefer the luxury of sitting inside Wine
