Female care

Hi, I have read quite a few posts that related to things I want to ask so don't think it will cause too much offence, I hope not anyway.

How if at all, do you keep pubic hair in check, I know some are all or nothing, so wax etc, I had, well it's old now do getting rid, like a lady shave that came with a bikini trimming head/detachable guard, without guard nicks and cuts, not a good idea at all! With guard on, crap!

I want to find a effective way of removing hair on the inside groin area if that makes sense, and something to at least trim pubic hair.
There had been a very long and quite funny post on washing, and some saying that soap, fem fresh etc were all no goes, and I agree but still feel like water is not enough. But if I do use anything it doesn't feel great afterwards so not sure what to do!

Any tips or advice would be wonderful

@MolyHolyGuacamole

Tbh OP I don't know how ppl are able to 'spot' a perv, but I do find your post odd, you start off talking about grooming tips but next minute your on about what you think about washing? Seems like 2 topics smushed together with no flow. Hmm. Is that how you spot a perv? 🧐
I really didn't think it through I'm sorry if it has come across badly, I have read so many things on here that I thought it would be okay. I mentioned washing because there was a recent thread on here I am sure it had at least 100 replies, and it started off with showering and some how got turned in to washing down below, no one found that strange?! It went on and on literally about inner areas too, and no one batted an eyelid?! My mistake for bad wording perhaps and thinking most things are openly discussed on here. Though I have had to laugh at some of the answers 🤦‍♀️

@SpudsandGravy

Not sure why so many people seem to think this is a weird question...? Compared to many on here it seems entirely pedestrian!

OP, I use Immac (or whatever it's currently called) to get rid of hair beyond the point at which I feel my pubes should extend. I actually just smear it on thick with my hand (and then thoroughly wash my hand) to make sure to cover all of it thoroughly.

Re: pubes themselves I trim them, when I get round to it with scissors. Actually I bought hair clippers during first lockdown to give myself a haircut and I tried those out too, as there didn't seem to be much else going on :-) It worked well for me.

Thankyou, reading back on my post now I have just said I can see where people have taken it the wrong way, and I thought it would be okay because of other things I have read on here even recently! I can't wait now to read something 'inappropriate'

I’m afraid OP if you aren’t a sad grubby old perv seeking his kicks by getting ‘females’ to describe their washing and grooming habits you have worded your OP in a rather unfortunate manner.

I think perhaps, in the (slightly optimistic) hope you are genuine, just pop to Boots & have a wander, I’m sure you’ll find what you need. They don’t tend to respond well to the pathetic wanking saddo in there & the staff have been doing an admirable job of late what with the apocalypse and all - so don’t take that advice if that’s your thing. However, if you really are a female looking for help I’m sure you’ll be just fine there. HTH ;)

Justthoughts · 15/02/2021 00:06

I can't use a razor or even get waxed without getting a rash or it itching like hell and getting ingrown hairs.
About 5 years ago I bought my first Phillips trimmer, the same kind I use to trim my partner's beard and hair with (obviously not the same he uses - we have two 😂).
It is seriously the best thing ever! It trims it to only a couple of millimeters. It is really smooth, keeps the skin intact and takes less than a minute to do. I just do it before my shower in the morning. It has truely made it so easy. Before that I spent years dreading having to do it.
I have even turned several of my friends to it. 😊

It doesn’t help that you have no posting history and this is your first post.

Why do you need 100+ personal replies on feminine hygiene when a simple google would probably tell you everything you need to know.

And I remember that thread. There was a reason I didn't reply - because those types of thread are a total honeytrap for pervs wanting intimate details of women's intimate personal hygiene. Just like this one.

How many different stories of other peoples washing habits do you actually need??Confused

CandyLeBonBon · 15/02/2021 08:41

Bold fail. Apologies

It's not my first post?! I have posted quite a few things recently and actively take part in replying to others posts.

I find that really offensive, okay if it was worded badly fair enough, I should of just said what's better a,b,c kind of question.

I didn't say I needed 100 replies, I was saying that no one had accused that person of anything, wording was going in to quite some detail too! I was hoping there would be a few recommendations just like if someone came on and said looking for recommendations for an epilator or something similar, I just wanted to know what others may have tried that they found better than other things.

Crikey! Didn't realise this is where the comedy is. Grin

Intentionally avoided this thread titled 'Female care' (because I don't care) but stumbled onto it when I was doing a search for something else and saw some weird words that I didn't think should be part of the thread. Had to come and take a look.

Read the first few posts and still not sure what OP did to deserve them Grin but coming back to read and enjoy myself once I'm done with my search. Hope it isn't deleted by then, please!

CandyLeBonBon · 15/02/2021 09:09

@Redruby2020 you seem to have gone through that original post in some detail, to know the responses and see what was said. Surely that would have given you all the answers you need?

Then why didn't you write that in the op, in 'style and beauty'? Because that's a far more benign and less questionable way of asking a very personal question. Which I think you already know.

People can just be unlucky on MN, OP. Sometimes, the same type of post will get different response.

I can see what the posters are saying but can also see what you're saying regarding other similar threads/posts. Just your luck today, I think.

I've enjoyed myself though, had a right laugh reading the posts here so thanks for this thread. Sorry!Grin

Well I wasn't sure where to post it, upon seeing the topic options and AIBU seems to get seen more, i won't rush to do that again! 😬

Blimey Op you're taking the troll hunters in good humour! Well done!

Not sure why the pile on, a quick search would show you've been on here since April last year.

Afraid I don’t bother. Life’s too short and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with having things natural down there.

Serin · 15/02/2021 20:24

I use a little mini flamethrower, easily available from Lakeland.

Onsiesarethenewblack · 15/02/2021 21:55

Op, if you are genuine, be aware that 'female' tends to be a word used by men on the internet who don't tend to get near women often enough to know we're not a scientific sub species.
