To ask what dress size you are

If you’re 5’4 and 8 stone. I’m currently that height and 9 stone a size 12. I’m currently losing weight and would like to be about 8 and a half stone.

5’7, 9 stone, size 8, occasionally a 10 in jeans.

Nearly 5ft 7 (roughly 1cm short, dammit!). Size 12, sometimes 12-14 from the waist down, depending on the item.

Seems this is where I'll end up. Was a size 10 till my 30s. Then yoyo-ed between 10 and 16 for a few years. Maintained a 12 since.

Haven't checked my weight in a long time. Last I did, I was about 11stone 4 and that's about what I usually weigh - between 10 and 11 st.

I'm 5'7 and 13.5ish stone, if they did size 15 that would be what I am but usually a 14 and sometimes a 16 in jeans etc.

I was always told I'm heavier than I look. Took after my dad and DC took after me. Very heavy from birth till now, even though very slim. "Heavy bones", as they say.

at 8 stone I'm a 6/8.

IMHO weight/height doesn't always correspond with dress size. I have very wide hips, even when I was 8 stone I had to wear a 12 to fit over my hips.

My ideal body weight is about half a stone less, or even more tbh! Size 8...
But then my face looks so gaunt I look absolutely awful
So this is my compromise

I'm 5'5" and 10st8lb. Really want to be a stone lighter to fit into my nice clothes and be a size 10-12 but currently I'm a 12-14. Bastard lockdown making me eat crap

I'm 5'8, no idea how much I weigh and a comfortable 16. I lift weights and there's very little wobble on me.

I'm 5'4" and 8st10. Currently a size 10. I'm happiest at 8st where I'm an 8. Need to get back there but I'm lazy and greedy.

God knows. I’m all different sizes apparently 🤷🏼‍♀️

Clothing sizes are about as inconsistent as the quality of school dinners. (I'm not 5'4).

I am 5'2 and 8 stone and a size 8. Half a stone of weight in and I'd be nearer a 10. When your this short it doesn't take much to go up a size sadly!

Gracious. I'm 5'5" and approx 11 stone, and my size 12s are a bit loose. (New size 12s, obviously, not the few 80s clothes I still own...)

0 of course. Anything bigger than a size 4 is obese

At your current weight you're slim, half a stone lighter you'd be even slimmer.

5ft3, 8.5 stone ish Size 8 on top (tiny boobs, narrow shoulders) 8/10 bottom. Do love size 12 m and s pants for comfort though!!!!

I'm 5'4, and weigh 59kg, which is 9.3 stone according to Google. I vary from size 4 - 10 depending on the shop, mostly size 8 in tops and size 10 in bottoms.

@merryhouse Yes, size 12 clothes now are the old size 14, I think.

I used the old sizing to describe myself because it seems odd to say I'm a size 10 when it's really or would have been a 12. I'm not a 10 and I'm fine with it. I remember when I bought a size 14 pair of shorts (now size 16 or so) and I was swimming in them. Thought something had happened to me and didn't realise things had changed.

I’m 5ft4 and weight 9stone10, I’ve just had to buy size 11 jeans, very depressing! Am starting less food and less wine as of tomorrow in the hope that I’m nearer 9stone when this lockdown ends and I come out looking fab 😂
