YANBU, definitely.

cazboldy · 02/11/2007 11:03

thats awful

lemonaidtreasonandplot · 02/11/2007 11:04

If he's in nappies, then more or less by definition he hasn't got the power to control it yet.

crokky · 02/11/2007 11:05

idontcarewhoreadsthis · 02/11/2007 11:06

Please tell me this is a wind-up.

TellusMater · 02/11/2007 11:07

My ds wee'd in his own ear when he was tiny.

It's not nice to be wee'd on of course, and I may have been rather exasperated - but I wouldn't hit a child for it, of course.

DumbledoresGirl · 02/11/2007 11:08

18 months of changing a nappy and someone hasn't been weed on before or worked out a strategy for dealing with it?

idontcarewhoreadsthis · 02/11/2007 11:09

H did it.

OP posts:
cestlavie · 02/11/2007 11:10

well then, no offence, but he's a wanker.

DumbledoresGirl · 02/11/2007 11:10

I think you have been changing too many nappies and your dh needs a bit more practice of doing it.

OTOH, if he is going to smack a child for something the child has no control over, maybe not.

idontcarewhoreadsthis · 02/11/2007 11:13

Actually Dumbledores Girl he the main carer.

OP posts:
DumbledoresGirl · 02/11/2007 11:14

In that case

EHM · 02/11/2007 11:16

oh dear I hope you kicked her hubby in the nuts when dc wasn't looking. No seriously I wouldn't even cross my mind to smack my dd she is nearly 18 months, neither would dh. You need to have a long chat with your hubby.

of course i challenged him Dumbledoresgirl. Put his back up and we had a row.

mummyhasgoneovertothedarkmagic · 02/11/2007 11:50

hey there, of course it is not ok to hit an 18 month old BUT is it because your H is really stressed out and needs some support (and obviously to know that smacking is NOT OK). He maybe is rowing because he knows it is wrong and feels terrible.

I shouted terribly violently at dd this morning because I am so damn tired. Not Ok. And she got big apologies and cuddles but I would more appreciate my dh to be giving me a break and a cup of tea to allow me to calm down than having a massive go (without condoning of course but I know it is out of order). Do you see what I mean?
