To be dubious about cranial osteopath

Been struggling with my now 16 week old. honestly never had this with first two. she has periods of uncontrollable crying, where nothing soothes her n I just dont know what to do so decided to try cranial osteopathy! (literally tried everything else so why not!)
cranial osteopath has said she feels tension on chest and jaw..she suspects a tongue tie. im so confused. as she was checked for a tongue tie just after I gave birth as my middle one had this so its the first thing I asked. and by a midwife. also if theres tension in her chest, shouldnt she be seen by a specialist? she was seen by GP last week who said she was fine, only suspected a bit of constipation. Im just so exhausted by this..I thought she had colic but she is now 4 months and its even worse! suspected silent reflux - medication - no improvement. changed formula- no improvement.
Its honestly like shes in pain n I have no idea what to do :(
Osteopath said probiotics but Im just so worried this is going to cause her more upset.

Osteopathy and chiropractic are both utter bollocks.

@Peppery123 I have a CMPA DD and it depends on the allergy as to whether the symptoms show straight away. There's 2 different types, my daughter has a Non-IGE allergy which is where it shows up a little while later, it can take upto 72 hours to show, although it's never been longer than 12 here, it can take quite a while for the dairy to come out of their system. It's a little different for us as DD is breastfed but she was prem and topped up on formula for the first 6 weeks until we realised how poorly the formula was making her, she had green mucousy poo, was clearly very distressed at night, in awful pain. To get her to sleep I had to stand swaying for hours with her in a wrap, she much preferred being upright at night. She did have an awful rash on her face which initially was diagnosed as baby acne but it got progressively worse and cleared very quickly after we cut out dairy. She also suffered with dark circles under her eyes which the Dr misdiagnosed, I later read up on everything and it was an allergy symptom. She was slow to gain weight too, but again as soon as the dairy was cut out she started gaining at an amazing rate.
I'd go back and push for a referral to a paediatrician or speak to a specialist feeding practitioner because reflux is usually a symptom of something else going on. They don't like prescribing the formula as it's expensive but that shouldn't be a reason for you and your baby to be in distress. I hope you find a solution Flowers

Thanks everyone for the advice.
Im still at a loss as im looking at notes Ive made and she seems unsettled randomly its always different times. For instance 2 days it was around 9.30-10am. Then yday it was 5pm onwards. Im actually thinking she may be overtired now? How many naps should a 4 month be having? Its something ive not really looked into but ive noticed she fights sleep..she will scream and put her fist in mouth then pull her ears..I think its tiredness as just before she yawns like this morning but only has 20-30 mins naps throughout thenday is this normal? She doesnt have a set pattern at all as well.
Checked today no rashes on her facr.
Monitored her 30 mind after feed she didnt put legs up, she sat in bouncer cooing. Which she usually does in mornings.

My little one is very much nap whenever he feels like it, I struggle to keep track with a toddler to run after too but I think he tends to have around 30 mins in morning 830ish, then again at lunchtime for around 1.5 hours, then he will usually fall asleep again in the afternoon but I have no idea if this is ideal or not. Just a thought, with the fist in mouth and ear pulling would they be teething? My eldest does the same with pulling ears and it is always related to new teeth?

Having been v sceptical about CO and only going as advised to by a health visitor, I was actually v impressed and saw major results on both ds and myself (hadn't even realised I had problems post birth until she did something and I got up and found walking so much easier - difficult birth. Mum said the entire way I was moving was different.) She was also v good at referring to a paediatrician when it became clear there were severely delayed reflexes.

However, I would not be happy following CO advice only in your situation. By all means get a double check on a tongue tie, and it could be worth trying probiotics- but don't let it rest just at that.

Do however be prepared to have to advocate strongly for your child- it's amazing how little medical professionals generally seem to be bothered about a baby's discomfort/pain levels. No adult would accept being left in the amount of pain babies seem to be expected to handle - it's like they think babies are all hypochondriacs.
