My DD is 7 weeks old and breastfed. I'm never sure her poo is 'normal'. To me it looks mucusy, though I'm never quite sure what's meant by the term. It's kind of slimy and stringy. It's usually yellow-brown but sometimes has a greenish tinge - the one pictured did in real life, though doesn't show on the picture. She poos a lot - I change her nappy after each feed (8-10 times a day) and there's usually poo there.
She's suffered with lots of gas from birth, which I'm told is not unusual. It is a lot though and disturbs her sleep - she can't really sleep on her back because it seems to aggravate her farts.
She was born slightly preterm at 36+3 so I don't know if all these issues are just her immature gut or if she has some kind of intolerance. I've tried eliminating dairy but it's been nearly 2 weeks now and no real change. I've mentioned it to my GP but I just get told it's all normal and only worry if the poos are red, white or black.
I'd really appreciate any advice!
