Handbags for brides

Hi all, I am posting here for traffic.

I have recently started my own handbag business, and I am wondering whether I should expand into wedding bags / purses / clutches - for brides themselves. I am not sure though if this is a thing - do brides need handbags for the wedding day? Or perhaps for the photoshoot?
I am attaching a couple of images of what I do - I could do these in more weddingy colours on white / ivory bases. These bags are also made from genuine leather, which makes them more expensive - not sure if it is something useful for a bag that would be essentially purchased for 1 day only?

I would appreciate some thoughts on this, thanks

Sorry OP, I think the bottom is falling out of the wedding market, not even because of the pandemic, but due to the rising cost of mortgages. Most of the young professionals I work with have chosen not to get married or to have very cost effective small events in restaurants.

I had this pouch- my mum looked after it for me and it was handy to be honest.
I love floral bags and would be in the market for a decent work satchel that holds A4 folders and laptop.
I would say- I hope you take it in the spirit of constructive criticism- that the floral motifs and the the gold ‘Little Selfish’ logo don’t seem to belong on the same bag. I like the floral motifs but would prefer the branding to be more subtle.

I've only ever known one bride to carry a bag at her wedding. She was a diabetic and had a small drawstring bag made to match her dress, so she could put her testing kit in it.

I carried an enormous bag with sheet music, orders of service, rings, favours, a bible, a change of clothes (hired dress needing to go back immaculate) and other bits and pieces - but I’ll happily admit that wasn’t mainstream Grin

One came with my wedding dress. I forgot it and didn't notice until got back home the next day.

Says it all, really.

OhCaptain · 09/02/2021 18:14

I do agree that I can’t imagine a bride wanting a bag that says “Little Selfish”.

I think they’re a good idea. I didn’t have flowers - but I did have a lovely little handbag with a buttonhole type affair on. Not a fan of bridal bouquets so this was just right.

I absolutely think there is a market for them. I had a pretty little fabric wristlet made to match my dress, which I could hide behind my flowers. I loved it, it was big enough for a tissue, face powder and lipstick.

Surely it's one of the the reasons to marry - free reign on dh's pockets to keep stuff in! Grin

I doubt there's a large market unless they match the shoes

Ps dd tells me that the way to go is pockets, her generation are crazy for them in formal wear
