to expect better service than this

I started a post graduate qualification, taught online, on Monday. I completed the first two activities by 10am (short ones) and posted the required entry in my online journal.

It's still not been looked at by my tutor let alone commented on. AIBU to expect better service than this for the high fees that I am paying?

We are paying for it and we are customers, it's no different from paying for a place at private school, a plumber or an electrician, they are all services and we can expect a decent service.

And if you didn't like the service they advertised you didn't need to 'buy' the service.
Just because you are paying for something doesn't mean you can demand a total overhaul of how things are done.
I find it very strange that you have gotten though a bachelors and are now on a masters but expect work to be returned with feed back in under a week!

@friedafinn

I'm amazed at how defensive you are all being. Academia must be a very insecure place to be these days.

Anyway I have no further need of this thread so I'll leave you to it.

Why start it then? Knobhead

I never feedback until the deadline for all contributions as I don’t want to skew or influence the other students work. Most weekly contributions we ask fir have a deadline of about ten days to help busy students keep up / catch up as most online students are also working so use the weekends.

Royalbloo · 23/01/2021 18:04

On my masters course it's 20 working days after submission deadline

Royalbloo · 23/01/2021 18:06

Oof and off she goes - why don't you JUST ASK? Or consult the module outline?!

starfishmummy · 23/01/2021 18:13

Ridiculous. I dont knkw about this excercise but surely the norm is to tell everyone their results/give them feedback at the same time. So they have to wait for the slowest to submit their work.

I'm wondering if OP thinks they are the King of Siam & expect all and sundry to bow to their every whim. While failing to understand that

A) the tutor will have many more students in other areas

B) the tutor will be working with limited resources

C) the universe does not revolve around OP and their 'demands'

yikes. Nightmare student
