To like Holly Willoughby?

I know she gets a lot of hate on here and online but I don't know why? I really like her. She seems like a nice person, good mum, nice appearance etc. I think she's good at her job and seems sweet and good hearted. Am I delusional?

I've never understood the hate she gets either

There is finding someone dull and then there is outright hate. She tends to get the latter.

She hasn't done anything for me to hate her for or imo for anyone to hate her for

I loved Holly Willoughby's dress on Sunday's Dancing on Ice (which has had a lot of press for its inappropriateness). She looked stunning in it.

The only time any celebrity gets hate on here is when somebody innocently starts a thread about them. Not liking someone off the telly is not hate.

Agreed, But these sort of threads do tend to only go one way...

I like her too, she seems very warm and kind. Don't get the hate either, it's one of those things that's only on Mn

You don't have to like every presenter on the TV. I record Strictly so I can zip through and don't have to watch the presenting. Me too. The presenting on Strictly is appalling. OTT fakeness and pathetic jokes, out of sync with each other in terms of clothing generally. The only bit I now watch is the actual dancing.

Yep, I watch the actual dancing and the judge's scores. Skip all the presenters and the bits where they get the slebs families out etc. Saves time.

We flew to NY a couple of years ago, and as the final passengers got on the (late night) flight, I heard children get into the row behind us. Dozed through the flight, but when I got up after landing to get myself together, I could see the Mum very gently waking the youngest, and thought how sweet she was with him. It was a little while before I realised it was Holly.

We followed them through immigration and customs, and they seemed a lovely family. No bad behaviour from the DC, who were obviously knackered, as we all were.

Did that typically British thing of pretending not to see them!

I do think she deserves credit that we have never seen her children in the media, same as Davina McCall and Georgia Tennant.

I think both she and Phillip have had their day on This Morning now.

She comes across as smug, and clearly gets work because of her husband. It's certainly not because of her presenting skills - her ability to read an autocue is abysmal.

Phil is even more unlikeable though so she's the lesser of two evils in that regard.

I’m not a fan (and I work in telly) but this annoys me. She was successful before she met her husband. He owns a production company that has naff all to do with TM or DOI (but does produce CH). She gets work because her shows rate. It’s as simple as that. If no one watched, she wouldn’t be in a job. Telly is that brutal.

How lovely! What class were they flying??

1. It's true that people accuse others of jealousy on here all the time. Not just when talking about celebs, but also anything to do with money, etc. And it's also true that it's often not jealousy at all.

2. On the other hand, in HW's case I think it is jealousy. She does really seem perfect in many ways.

She has a terrible interviewing style. Especially when it's a serious subject. Her voice goes right through me. I hate all the silly laughing fits her and PS have. The cringe worthy times after the NTA awards when they come on hungover. Pathetic. I am certainly not jealous of her 😂

She comes across as a lovely person and her cats are adorable 😍

I loathe her !! So smug and perfect.

I think she seems nice. The only thing I don't enjoy is the daft behaviour her and Philip exhibit on This morning, all the inside jokes and laughing about the place whilst the interviewee waits for them to get it together before they respond.

I don't think its fair to comment on someone don't really know. I am sure she is a good person. No real opinion on her. But she was in the right place at the right time and married a person who got her where she is today. She got lucky. I'm sure she has the same ups and downs as the rest of is albeit a much more luxurious lifestyle

Of course it's fair to make comments on celebrities. They're in the public eye, they MAKE themselves known to us. If we can love certain celebs and say why we do, we can certainly do the opposite. If we didn't comment on celebs and show interest in them they wouldn't be celebs.

I love her! She o my really started getting hate when she lost a bit of weight, she was accused of no longer being real 🙄

I don't watch anything she's on but from clips I've seen and things people have shared she seems nice. She's beautiful and successful but from what I've heard about her marriage there's no reason to be jealous of her life. I think maybe that's why some people feel there's something 'off' about her as well, because she is hiding something. She's hiding a bad marriage but people think she's hiding her real self and that's why she's often called fake.

Yes I like her too.
Obviously I don't know her personally she seems empathetic, kind, down to earth while working hard with DC who adore her, how could you hate her.
Phil irritates me their relationship is annoying.
Not exclusive to HW it must be awful journalists following you to the supermarket snapping pics of your shopping.

There's gossip and speculation but also some of that gossip is about things that have actually been said, been done, happened etc and some of the speculation is just extending a wondering about a fact eg a celeb divorced his wife and a week later with another woman there's speculation he has been having an affair with her.

Like any forum some of it is rubbish, some is fact, some is somewhere in the middle and then you have people who HATE the celeb, people who LOVE the celeb and others somewhere in the middle.
