In your opinion

I would say reality TV , don't mind people not watching it but people seem obsessed with hating it.

Winter. I love not having a red sweaty face on a walk.
Family gatherings. Love my extended family and cant wait to see everyone (though I dont have a mil).
Teenagers. Some are incredibly nice.

Drbrowns · 15/01/2021 17:36

Baby Showers, it’s just a name for getting a woman’s close friends and family together to celebrate her about to become a mother. Also an excuse to eat sandwiches and cake, and drink prosecco.

Superstardjs · 15/01/2021 17:40

Household accessories and decor. I love personalised homes and am adult enough to appreciate other people have different tastes. People who want very current styles? Crack on, as long as it makes you happy.

NonagonInfinityOpensTheDoor · 15/01/2021 17:48

Money as a gift for a wedding. It’s easier for every single party involved but MN would imply you’ve been raised my monsters if you dare ask for money rather than the tat they think is suitable for you (I never want anything from John Lewis thanks)
Crocs.. they’re fucking comfy.
Colourful walls ... grey and beige are not for everyone
Style and Beauty board, ok not the entire thing but the threads that utterly take the piss out of any type of clothing that isn’t typically “trendy”... if you want to wear shoes that look like school busses with a dress with cats all over if bloody do it and don’t be swayed by the homogeneous mass of topshop or next clad twats

May have went off on a tangent there.. blame the pregnancy hormones there Grin

12frogsincoats · 15/01/2021 17:49

Trans people.

ViciousJackdaw · 15/01/2021 17:51

People who ask too many questions...

Drbrowns · 15/01/2021 17:53

Also destination weddings. If someone wants to get married in the sun fair play to them. You don’t have to go, it’s an invite not a summons, and usually the couple understand there will be a high number of declines.

Borisjohnsonshairbrush · 15/01/2021 18:01

Baby showers and gender reveals. Though I draw the line at people having two separate doo's...just have an all in one. Easier, saves cash.

PainterInPeril · 15/01/2021 18:10

Jehovah's Witnesses! No need for hatred. Especially on here. Surprised that JW-bashing is allowed on Mumsnet actually. Not in the spirit of the site etc!

JaneJeffer · 15/01/2021 19:13

Toilet brushes Grin

Fizbosshoes · 15/01/2021 19:30

On MN ; B and M bargains and The range.
Without fail every time someone thinks lockdown should be stricter these 2 are mentioned.
B and M bargains sells food, toiletries, san pro cleaning products, toilet roll etc (which I dont think anyone would deny are essential) but it receives IMO an unnecessary amount of hate!

Sparrowfeeder · 15/01/2021 19:37

Spiders
Mice
Rats
Pigeons

Vegans
GC feminists

Plussizejumpsuit · 15/01/2021 19:40

ferrero rocher

People in here seem to think they're tacky

Aelfrid · 15/01/2021 20:01

commercial fiction. Sometimes you just want a book about people with solvable problems, solving them. Not some 800 page Booker Prize shortlisted monster about the plight of wool carders in 15th century Lincolnshire.

Brighterthansunflowers · 15/01/2021 20:22

Harry Potter/JK Rowling

MarshaBradyo · 15/01/2021 20:25

Some good ones on here

Teenagers for me - not all are bad

WingingItSince1973 · 15/01/2021 20:36

@PainterInPeril as a JW thank you. Yes I've noticed that but I guess people like to believe the hype. I've just had an aunty post on Facebook that we won't be having the covid vaccines and we have had a special one made for us. Absolutely hilarious and totally false. Can't wait for the vaccine 🤣🤣🤣

Speakeasy22 · 15/01/2021 20:47

Reins for children.
