To think a "breathing" sex robot should be illegal

CrotchBurn · 14/01/2021 18:30

Apparently there is an AI sex robot that now has the feature of breathing (there's a video in the article in the link).

I don't really care how these ultra realistic sex dolls might help people for various reasons. I think in a world where men overwhelming treat women as unfeeling objects (yeah okay NAMALT), further blurring the lines between womens bodies and inanimate objects you can do what you want to is dangerous.

I think they should be illegal.

Wow, I'm only just beginning to realise how many hairy backed marys frequent this board for no good reason.

Sickening.

SirChing · 14/01/2021 23:45

@PlanDeRaccordement

I’m sure someone will come along and suggest men who do not buy the heated model and masturbate using cold sex dolls are just practising so they can move on to having sex with corpses

Snap! Either great minds think alike or fools seldom differ Grin

HeadIsFucked · 14/01/2021 23:48

I’m sure there would be a % of women though who’d think it was romantic in a way.

Indeed, some women find very odd things to be romantic. Not sure if anyone on here watches big brother, and this post is so offtopic, but your reply made me think of this girl, Louise..BB12 UK I think it was. She was in a kind of relationship with this brute of a guy called Jay. And she found it very 'romantic' that he wiped his arse on her pillow one night. Possibly one of the oddest moments I have ever seen on TV Hmm

PlanDeRaccordement · 14/01/2021 23:49

@SirChing
Thank you. You’ve said it very eloquently.

Yohoheaveho · 14/01/2021 23:49

We'll know we wouldn't cut it after that
Indeed but if we were able to produced lifelike female sex dolls we would also have lifelike male sex dolls and none of us would choose a podgy badly groomed one who didn't satisfy sexually would we

PlanDeRaccordement · 14/01/2021 23:56

@HeadIsFucked
That’s hilarious. My DH vomited on my pillow 25yrs ago and not only did I find it not romantic, I’m not sure I have completely forgiven him.

inperfectmumma20 · 15/01/2021 00:02

Personally I don't care 🤷🏼‍♀️ everyone has their own kinks! I like to be "choked" etc during sex and men have a kink for it so why not 🤷🏼‍♀️ I don't see a problem. Everyone has their own weird fetishes so why not make it their reality and have a robot instead of there being a chance a man could possibly hurt a woman? There's so much detail I could go into about how much I support these robots but I won't cause I cba tbh 😂

JaneJeffer · 15/01/2021 01:15

I've never seen so many weirdos on one thread before 🤮

DioneTheDiabolist · 15/01/2021 01:33

YABU, it's a doll! I don't want my tax or my government's time to be wasted on drafting ridiculous legislation about toys, no matter how distasteful you find them.Hmm

alexdgr8 · 15/01/2021 01:44

i saw on tv once where i think it was japan has a trade of bespoke sex dolls, very realistic.
the maker was talking proudly of his craft, as if he was a tailor. when asked about trends he said they were all female and more and more were being requested to look like young school girls, aged from about 10 to 14. that was a growing market.
he made them realistic, with hair in bunches, and knee socks, satchel.

Sinful8 · 15/01/2021 02:22

So are dildos symbolic of 2qnting to hack a man's genitals off?

Does this extend to the child sized sex toys? I mean, no actual children were harmed in the making of this sex toy. It's just that people tend to find a market catering to paedophilia... well, distasteful.

You could even say that, so long as the child dolls are available, it's keeping paedophiles away from actual children. I'd disagree and say that it validates and normalises their desires and is more likely to be a danger to children in the long run.
Similarly, I don't think that having a life like adult sized sex doll you can have sex with, choke, punch and perform dangerous sex acts on to no retribution is going to prevent some violent men from acting similarly towards actual human women because there predilections are being continually affirmed with a doll which can fuck and moan but can't refuse.

No, however, if you designed a robot man who screamed as if in pain when you hacked his penis off, then It would be.

Does not surprise me. The schoolgirl fetish is big in Japan. Ever seen anime? There's a lot of sexualised schoolgirl characters.
GodOfPhwoar · 15/01/2021 04:24

So where does it stop? Do we also ban literature depicting this, because 50 Shades of Grey was one of the most popular books of the last century. It wasn’t men buying it!

wellthatsunusual · 15/01/2021 04:26

50 Shades of Grey wasn't about sex robots surely?

GodOfPhwoar · 15/01/2021 04:27

And what about video games where you have an extremely realistic recreation of shooting people?

GodOfPhwoar · 15/01/2021 04:27

@wellthatsunusual

50 Shades of Grey wasn't about sex robots surely?
No, it was glorifying the real thing!
Tinkerbell456 · 15/01/2021 04:33

Creepy +++!

OldAndWornOut · 15/01/2021 04:38

There have always been sex dolls.
(Male and female ones)
They've moved on from the type that needed to be blown up.

Where on earth would someone keep a lifesized, breathing, robotic humanoid though?

wellthatsunusual · 15/01/2021 04:47

Well, a lot of people (me included) were pretty horrified by Grand Theft Auto and even more horrified that people were using hacks to become virtual rapists. And then there's the fact that a games development company invented a game called Rape Day where the whole purpose was to rape and murder women. I'm not sure if that ever got distributed in the end but games development is expensive and the fact that a company put money into doing so is chilling. They must have had plenty of staff who thought it was a good idea, who were willing to work on it (although I understand that when you are employed it can be difficult to refuse) and, most importantly, thought there was a market for it.

GodOfPhwoar · 15/01/2021 04:54

Games like ‘Rape Day’ are really in the overwhelming minority and not in any way representative of the gaming industry tbh. You’d find many times the number of examples in traditional literature and film formats.

wellthatsunusual · 15/01/2021 04:58

I know they're a tiny minority of games. I'm not anti gaming, but the fact that it was even developed is disturbing. Someone did their research and concluded that it could make money. Don't you find that worrying?

thegreedycateropillar · 15/01/2021 05:00

Many who just want to strangle someone

just ?? Just has no place in that sentence.

TooManyKidsSendHelp · 15/01/2021 05:02

No, however, if you designed a robot man who screamed as if in pain when you hacked his penis off, then It would be.

So we've jumped from these sex dolls realistically breathing to them screaming in pain when parts of them are hacked off?

Right.
