I follow a pretty avid anti-vax and anti-masker on Instagram for shits and giggles. But her latest post is more obscure than most. She claims she hasn't paid utilities in nine years! She claims she'll upload a video explaining it but I've not seen it yet. I assume since she rents her landlord pays?

My friend didn't pay gas for a year when she moved into her new home as she couldn't find out who the supplier was.

Turns out technically there wasn't one - a couple had built a house for their son on their land & the gas was connected to to their property. The couple & their son had been dead for a number of years & the properties had been sold separately. The current owner of the original property wasn't happy that they had been paying someone else's gas bill for the past 10 years when it all eventually got sorted out.

It is @officialelliegrey . I can't stop watching, it's like car crash TV. Or at least it's better than what's left on my Netflix watch list!

But there's a scary number of people who properly support her and believe all she says 😞

Maybe she lives in a yurt up a mountainside somewhere. Is she in the US? There does seem to be a correlation between anti vax and a desire to shun modern day life in cities.

Up to them, doesn't bother me what they do, but I have often wondered at the correlation

I knew someone like this, went to enormous lengths to evade landlords and utility companies, also never paid car insurance or road tax or got an mot. Had to stick to non ANPR routes and hide the car at home. Lived like a fugitive, not much fun....

I know someone who did something similar.

She moved into a rented house and just didn’t bother contacting the utility suppliers, four years later they got a warrant to enter the property and she told them she had moved in a month before and had tried to sign up with another supplier but was waiting for it to go through, they asked her for proof and she just mocked up a fake tenancy agreement and they believed it.
She now pays for gas and electricity but still doesn’t pay for water, she just ignored the letters from the water company and in the 8 years they’ve never done anything about it.

This just wouldn't work in Ireland. When I moved in to my house I had to ring up and get the account reconnected in my name, give my account details as the previous owners had rung up and get the supply cut off when they moved out. There is not one sing iota or watt or drop of gas or electricity coming in to your house unless they have permission to take money out of somebody's account!!

SO shocked that they keep sending electricity/gas when there's no account to debit!

I know who you're referring to. She's deluded and dangerous.

My guess is she either has an all inclusive rent or parents help out. There's no way in gods green earth she'd be in any property, rented or otherwise, and use utilities freely without paying for them.

My auntie and uncle bought a house on a new-build estate and although they were connected to utilities, they didn't receive a bill for over three years. My uncle eventually decided to contact the companies because he felt the longer it went on, the more money he would have to pay in the end - as it's never going to go on forever (what if they had a problem with the supply etc?)

They ended up having to pay a few thousand but spread it out over time.

This was in 1998-2001.

I saw that video, apparently they've cured cancer but there's no money in it so they ignore it.

I love the cosmetics video - she wants no chemicals, no alcohol and no aluminium in her face and body products. Fair enough, but she has eyelash extensions with toxic glue, acrylic nails which are full of toxins and box dyed hair??

Oh she'll be back to repost, she often gets taken down by Instagram and then she says she won't post anti vax stuff then two days later she has a rant.
