Dead snowman blocking my gate

I just went to let my cat in and saw that someone has dumped what looks like destroyed snowman in my gate, I've just had to get a spade and remove it all which was a pain as it had hardened so was pretty heavy as I have a daughter who uses a wheelchair sometimes as she has a neuromuscular condition which can affect her walking at times. AIBU in thinking someone has probably done this on purpose and be really annoyed about it as there were no snowmen out on the front an hour ago so they must have brought it from somewhere else

Those tracks look like sledge marks to me. You need to look out for likely culprits with sledges.

Just about every kid around has a sledge with them at the moment so that wouldn't narrow it down by much

So, looking for possible snowball or snowman builders, with sledges, in the snow... they will probably have snow on them, maybe gloves or maybe cold, red hands...

I think you also need to consider the possibility that the snowman (or woman, snowperson?) actually was not murdered but took their own life in your gateway, these are troubling times after all...

Or maybe it was a tragic accident, he misjudged the gateway and tripped, beheading himself!

Id put an advisory notice on your gate 'snow-accident here, witnesses sought' and also a warning 'THIS IS A SNOWPERSON FREE AREA, SNOW PERSONS ARE PROHIBITED. UNATTENDED SNOWPEOPLE WILL BE FINED'..

For all you with snow envy, you may be please to hear that most of the snow has melted now leaving patches of ice everywhere. The possible snow person on the other hand is not melted and looks like a bunch of snow boulders at the side of my gate

I think you will never find out if it was on purpose. Weather is forecast to be less cold this week so hopefully should melt any snow.

I examined the "body" and it had a smaller smooth piece that looked like it could be a decapitated head but you're right, their is no solid evidence to prove this was a snow person

If it has been maliciously dumped I suspect it's probably bored teenagers as there is no one I know that has a motif to do such a thing

I used a shovel to kind of roll it in our garden as if we still have snow tomorrow we may be able to rebuild it into a decent sized snow person
