My son just changed my phone settings for me so the font is big and I can read everything. I'm just turned 43 and I just felt properly old for the first time. Boo! I'm waiting for new glasses which should help but I've always had perfect vision until the last couple of years. Poor me Grin

What was it that made you realise you are no longer a youngster? Please.help me feel less alone in my sudden dotage!

When I dropped my niece off at school and one of her friends said to her ‘why did your grandma drop you off today instead of your mum...’

@RealisticSketch

When I saw myself in a full length mirror and raised that my new peri-menopausal shape is exactly my own mum's shape was when I was young and svelte and thinking I would never look like that.
This!!! I swore I would never give in with my figure like my dm, but after a shitty year and being that bit older, I now look in the mirror (not often!) and see my dm looking back at me. Blush

When I was told by a nurse last November I did laugh that when I first visited Moorfields 20 years ago she was two.

I always looked very young for my age and was constantly asked for ID for alcohol in the supermarket which was infuriating as it happened way into my 30’s. All of a sudden that has stopped now in my 40’s..I think life caught up with me and I aged overnight...

When i told a colleague the first time Id seen a band that she was going to watch was in 1989, when I was 18. Two years before she was born.

Also, when I realised I pay more attention to tweezering hairs out of my chin and upper lip than I do to shaving my legs (and my bikini line has been attended to twice in the last year).

I don't feel old at all. I have stupid bits of my body, but they don't make me feel old. I just feel like me.

When I go to the doctor or the dentist and they look so young to me that I wonder how they could possibly be fully trained!

45 - I felt that I was now very old and a bit down However at 46.5 I feel fine about my age and I guess it was just another phase!
