We are in tier 4.
She lives with her mum.
She has been getting into her ex boyfriends car and having him driving her to the supermarket.
She's allowing her sister in the house (who has been seeing her boyfriend ) and her cousin (who has been seeing her boyfriend)
And obviously these boyfriends have been seeing family /going to work.
Today another friend dropped off her kitten at my house (I live alone ) to watch for a week whilst she gets work done to her house.
I told this friend about this and her reply
"You do realise we are in tier 4,your friend will have been touching the kitten and she isn't the cleanest person is she, well il be avoiding you if I see you in the street "
So I mentioned all the rule breaking she's been doing and she says it's ok as she "anti bacs"
I told her a few home truths how she bends the rules to suit herself etc
She ended up telling me to F off
How on earth can she say anything ?
@lljkk she's told me that many times when I pull her up on things
Do you know what

Ditch her.

Enjoy the kitten cuddles.

lioncitygirl · 03/01/2021 20:57

I mean she sounds a bit thick too to be honest....

FangsForTheMemory · 03/01/2021 20:58

Never mind your friend, have you got a kitten pic for us?

WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 03/01/2021 21:01

@mammamia345

I try not to judge people but honestly that really got my goat. I explained what my point was and she just kept replying "They clean, they clean" It's a bloody virus, you can catch it from someone coughing etc (I think ) She says I'm being risky stroking this kitten as my friend has touched it .... The same person who goes in Tesco etc etc picking up and touching stuff How do you win a argument with that ?
You don't. You can't argue with stupid!

She told you to fuck off?!

I'd just block the bloody idiot & you won't have to see/hear how stupid she's being!

Enjoy your snuggles with kitty.

VetiverAndLavender · 03/01/2021 21:04

I couldn't bother about a "friend" who'd tell me to "f off". Not exactly friendly behaviour.

Whammyyammy · 03/01/2021 21:08

@ShirleyPhallus

Sigh. Isn’t anyone bored of the covid police?
Yep
GreenlandTheMovie · 03/01/2021 21:12

@VetiverAndLavender

I couldn't bother about a "friend" who'd tell me to "f off". Not exactly friendly behaviour.
I couldn't be bothered with constantly being "pulled up on things".

OP just call the Covid Police if you think its a serious concern and she's not winding you up.

GalaxyCookieCrumble · 03/01/2021 21:15

Oh mind your own business ffs

GalaxyCookieCrumble · 03/01/2021 21:17

@TwirlingTwizzler I hope you realise your hospital has been at the same capacity for years before Covid? Did you stop and think about yours and other peoples actions then?

mammamia345 · 03/01/2021 21:19

I pull her up on her shitty behaviour towards me.
I used to be a pushover and she hates the fact now I don't just roll over.

Jenstar123 · 03/01/2021 21:29

I can imagine she has justified what shes doing in her head as ‘essential’ and ‘necessary’ and thinks what your doing isn’t, but yer she’s being a hypocrite and a bit of dick.

yawnsvillex · 03/01/2021 21:36

Y A W N

BigBadVoodooHat · 03/01/2021 21:44

I pull her up on her shitty behaviour towards me.

Why waste time and energy on doing this? Just cut her out.

Alys20 · 03/01/2021 21:46

If you keep pulling her up on things you had an F off coming sooner or later, OP.

Rhiannon13 · 03/01/2021 21:48

It's a bloody virus, you can catch it from someone coughing etc (I think )

Yes that's right OP, you can. No 'I think' about it surely?

CakeRequired · 03/01/2021 21:52

Sounds like she’s sniffed a bit too much flash and melted a few brain cells op.

Only a few? Sounds like all of them. Grin

OP she's pissed with you because you've called her out on her stupidity. Do you really need friends like that? Just ditch her, she's a moron.

RaspberryCoulis · 03/01/2021 21:55

I told her a few home truths how she bends the rules to suit herself etc
She ended up telling me to F off How on earth can she say anything?

Well given that you're not a police officer, she's free to say exactly what she wants to you.

Any "friend" who thinks it's OK to start dishing out home truths isn't really a friend worth having.

PrincessBuggerPants · 03/01/2021 21:56

People are being cocks at the moment.

A childless friend of mine who packed a bag during Boris' press conference the weekend before Christmas, in order to flee London to see elderly relatives in the sticks, has become the most vocal advocate of closing the schools these past 48 hours Hmm

YANBU

Googlebrained · 03/01/2021 21:58

She sounds nasty if she's saying about your other friend that she's 'not the cleanest'. She's not worth bothering about. And actually she was trying to pick you up about the kitten. You were just pointing out her hypocrisy.

Moondust001 · 03/01/2021 22:08

Am I the only one who thinks it's really odd how many people on Mumsnet don't actually like their friends and vice versa?

mammamia345 · 03/01/2021 22:11

@RaspberryCoulis she was the one who started with her shitty comments towards me.
I would have kept my mouth shut

OP posts:
Calmandmeasured1 · 03/01/2021 22:12

I'd ditch her as a friend. You can't argue with stupid.

Viviennemary · 03/01/2021 22:24

She is a cf. She's breaking more rules than you are. In fact you haven't even broken any rules have you.

jessstan1 · 03/01/2021 22:30

Mamma: friend: "You do realise we are in tier 4,your friend will have been touching the kitten and she isn't the cleanest person is she, well il be avoiding you if I see you in the street"
..............

LOL! Wonderfully clever retort.

You really didn't need to start a thread detailing what a hypocrite your friend is, Mamma. Nobody cares! What are you gonna do about it anyway?

jessstan1 · 03/01/2021 22:33

@mammamia345

I pull her up on her shitty behaviour towards me. I used to be a pushover and she hates the fact now I don't just roll over.
I wouldn't worry about that now, she isn't your friend any more but never mind, you still have the unwholesome one who strokes your puss.
