Agreed. DH keeps waxing lyrical about how wonderful it is. Can't stand Jools and his mates.

Starshapedclub have done an online 90s indie disco which has been fabulous. I had itv wait n for the bongs and sure enough the subtitles stated "bong" for each one so we didn't miss much having the tv on mute

She actually isnt that great a singer. She goes off key even in the recorded version of that New York song.

Bring on Sophie Ellis Bextor. She could dance and sing upbeat disco in a sparkly catsuit while her kids mill around with ice cream on their head and her lovely husband twiddles the knobs in his studio. Perfect.

This, we end up watching it every year cos there’s nothing better on.

I miss the good old days of Clive Anderson and his review of the year.

what i've never understood about Jools's shindig is that the music is generally quite relaxed & chilled, eat your dinner to music, or chat by the bar music not shake everything like crazy because it's the end of the year music.

Alicia Keys, not so much.

We watched the fireworks/light display, I got very emotional. Me, dh and 2 dd’s joined hands, all ready for Auld Lang Syne and we got New York by Alicia WTAF!!
