Do you believe that aliens ...

Have visited earth? DH and I were watching Ancient Aliens. Obviously it’s a tv show exaggerated just for entertainment but it raised some discussion in the likelihood of aliens visiting us.

Neither of us have any doubt about the existence of life in the universe but whether they have visited us or not is still an ongoing discussion. Do you believe we have been visited?

YABU - No were totally alone
YANBU - Yes we have either definitely been visited or it’s likely we have

There's a rumour that President Eisenhower made a deal with the Greys - that heads of state have known and communicated with extra terrestrials for years.

Not sure about that, but my brother saw a UFO as a child and I absolutely believe him.

I also think it's more unlikely that we are the only planet in the whole universe to have sentient life, that just doesn't sound plausible at all.

Hundreds of years ago airplanes and iPhones and freezers and microwaves and mri scanners etc would all have seemed completely impossible and like science fiction so I do believe that there is probably other life out there somewhere, some with advanced technology that we can’t yet understand. There are so many millions of planets out there that is being the o key ones to evolve life seems ridiculous

100% exist. My most vivid memory as a child is seeing a spaceship. Would recognise it anywhere to this day.

That’s an entertainment show, no one with any sense would take it seriously.

Very possible there is other life somewhere, but no evidence it’s come to earth so far.

1992/1993 can’t remember the exact year. Still remember the encounter vividly though.

Check out Bob Lazar on Joe Rogan and elaewhere ..he is a high tech engineer who says he worked on recovered alien craft in a special base in the US ..he's very plausible but I do wonder why if he's telling the truth the Men in Black havent come along and disappeared him ...

I'd confidently put money on the fact that you dreamt it or are remembering something from a book, film or TV programme.

I haven’t a clue where aliens come from. I do know most experts agree there are other planets in other galaxies capable of supporting life, but saying something as unknown as aliens come from any particular planet would be ridiculous. My best guess how they get here (based on what people much cleverer than me have said) is some kind of worm hole or inter-dimensional travel.

I absolutely agree that the likelihood is that there have to be other universes out there capable of supporting intelligent life. What I really struggle with, though, is the notion that they have developed a way of getting to our world without our knowing anything about it, and why they would want to keep it such a secret if they had. In scientific terms, the distances involved are staggering and aliens would have to be capable of travelling exponentially faster than the speed of light to make it in any way practicable, and that's before you get to the logistics of fuel, whether they could live in our atmosphere, etc etc.

I believe they’re real and a lot of history makes me wonder if aliens were involved back then.
I like the theory that aliens are future humans time travelling.

I fervently hope that we aren't the most intelligent species that the universe has created. If we are, then the universe is in deep shit....

If they've got the intelligence to build spacecraft to travel I hope they'll have the intelligence to keep going and not stop here.

On a serious note I do believe there's other life out there, surely we can't be so arrogant to think we are the most superior beings in the universe? Have they visited? Possibly, the government could never tell us, people lost their minds in the first lockdown and stockpiled toilet roll so can you imagine what they'd be like if they thought aliens had been here?

Our experience of Earth teaches us that wherever there is liquid water, there is life, even at the bottom of the deepest oceans where there is no energy from sunlight. We also now know that liquid water exists elsewhere in our own solar system, on the moons of Jupiter. IF life, however primitive, is found in that water, it would strongly suggest that the universe is teeming with life.

Obviously, it’s a huge leap from finding algae in the seas on Europa to suggest that any form of intelligent life exists, never mind advanced civilisations with the capacity for interplanetary exploration.

The main problem with suggesting that other advanced civilisations exist in the universe is that we have been looking seriously for them for many decades and have found nothing. No radio waves, no electromagnetic radiation, nothing. So, if they exist, where are they?
