Happy Christmas Eve everyone! Grin

So have the kids all day tomorrow which I am so looking forward to. However, they go to their dads on Boxing Day for the day and overnight.

I haven't had a day like this to myself where I have nothing on in so long and I'm really looking forward to it.

Planning on cracking the champagne as soon as they leave (10 am ish) Grin is this acceptable?

Also other than eating and drinking all day could anyone recommend anything else I could get up to or any films/series I could watch?

Sorry if you can't tell I am ever so slightly excited maybe more than Christmas Day.

Agree with both Emily in Paris and queens gambit as so watchable for a day off
Enjoy
When kids visit their dad that’s pretty much all i do !!

Agree with pp, birthdays, Xmas and airports are the acceptable day drinking occasions. I'll be on the fizz from when the smalls wake me up at horrific o'clock tomorrow Grin

MariaK91 · 24/12/2020 20:58

I literally have prosecco for breakfast during the Christmas period. Go for it!! Xmas Grin just remember to drink water and stay hydrated!

Sforsh49 · 24/12/2020 21:02

I started at 12:07 today but if I'm honest at 10:47 I was wondering if it was too early to crack a can of strongbow dark fruits open 😂

I could hear my dear departed Mother's voice in my head saying "it's 5pm somewhere in the world" but I resisted her 😂

Dagnabit · 24/12/2020 21:03

Er, yes!!

Confusedandshaken · 24/12/2020 21:18

In answer to your original question. Hell Yeah. Then have a nap, sleep it off and have the next bottle.

CeibaTree · 24/12/2020 21:23

Sounds good to me OP, I've been having brandy cream in my morning coffee for the past 3 days :)

Eckhart · 24/12/2020 21:31

There are no rules...

candle18 · 24/12/2020 21:31

Enjoy 🍾

Thehollyandtheirony · 24/12/2020 21:34

Of course it’s acceptable!
I recommend Ali Wong’s movie Always Be My Maybe.
A funny, sweet feel-good film and not too long.

If you’re not starting your morning with Buck’s Fizz you’re doing it wrong

MustardMitt · 24/12/2020 21:45

We have Bucks Fizz for breakfast so I say yes.

MustardMitt · 24/12/2020 21:46

Oh snap @Conniethesensible!

MissPollyEstherCardigan · 24/12/2020 22:59

Yes, OP! I came on to say Queen's Gambit, Emily in Paris, and Selling Sunset, all on Netflix. Enjoy! 🥂
