So we have had a mental few months, I had a baby who was prem and in NICU she is doing wonderfully well.
Then my DD7 who is a heart transplant patient caught sepsis.
I have an older DS13.
Due to visiting rules I was the only parent allowed with DD1 and DP only parent allowed with DD2.
We were going to be completely split in 2 over xmas and was so worried about DS.

Well today it’s been confirmed that DD2 will be discharged from NICU on Wednesday and DD1 who still requires IV antibiotics is stable enough to go home with them if I train over the next 3 days to give them she can come home on Xmas eve !!!!

It’s a bloody Xmas miracle ❤️❤️❤️

I am delighted for you having read your posts whilst in hospital with my 6 yr old who has complex needs. We have been in and out 5 times in the last few months and I have barely seen the inside of my own home this last 2 months.
But we were sent home on fri . I am just praying he stays well enough to stay here now .
So I wish you and yours a wonderful Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year. X

My family have had to cancel Christmas together (2 are I’ll with Coronavirus) and others are spread around the country..

At short notice it has been very fraught and I have felt very down.

To read this seems like a Christmas miracle and despite the hard work it will be with such a tiny baby. This has really lifted my heart .

Happy happy Christmas to you all ,

Bettydot · 21/12/2020 07:55

Rollingpiglet · 21/12/2020 07:57

So pleased to see it has worked out so you can have a family Christmas but bloody hell you have been through it as a family. Have a fab Christmas!!

Masskerisation · 21/12/2020 07:57

We had to cancel our turkey from a local farm but he managed to find another buyer.

Hope your meat search is successful but even a huge pile of sausages will be fine after the awful time you have had.
