Upload is interesting and an easy watch. First series feels a bit “scene setting” but hopefully the second will follow through on the storylines...

Daleksatemyshed · 21/12/2020 18:27

I know it doesn't sound very festive but Why women kill is fantastic, it's funny, it's witty and at times made me shout at the TV.

Lincslady53 · 21/12/2020 18:33

We saw a preview of Roald and Beatrix yesterday, it is on Sky on Thrusday. Very good film for all the family. Some good adult humour, not smutty, and lots for the children to enjoy.

bluebluezoo · 21/12/2020 18:34

@Daleksatemyshed. Where do you watch that please? I’ve seen trailers but couldn’t find it on the usual netflix/prime..

SeasonallySnowyPeasant · 21/12/2020 18:41

Lucifer. DH and I started on S1:E1 a few weeks ago and we're now in series 3. Highbrow it isn't but it's based on a Neil Gaiman character and is enjoyable watching.

PuppyMonkey · 21/12/2020 18:50

Am enjoying Homecoming on Prime - with Julia Roberts. Also The Good Fight, follow up to the Good Wife.

Things I’ve binge watched and enjoyed this year:

The Wire
Westworld
Anne with an E
Queen’s Gambit
I May Destroy You
Normal People
Tiger King Grin

I presume everyone has now done Breaking Bad, Making a Murderer, The Staircase etc.

Gone Fishing with Paul Whitehouse and Bob Mortimer is amongst the best things I’ve watched.

And Ghosts!

Whenever life gets too much in our house, The Office US and Parks and Recreation go on rotation. It's like temporarily entering a gentler parallel universe.

Also, The Americans is a great series to immerse yourself in.

I have just watched The Ripper on Netflix. Very interesting and very sad.

Much more focus on the victims, their families. Far more conversation about the impact the case had on women in general.

Some quite telling comments I hadn't heard before. I would heartily recommend it.

Daleksatemyshed · 22/12/2020 13:05

@bluebluezoo, sorry didn't see your question. We watched it on the Alibi channel or you can stream it from the UKTV hub. Enjoy!

gettingolderbutcooler · 24/12/2020 10:50

@FindHungrySamurai

Staged - the Netflix version is slightly longer than the iPlayer version, iPlayer version more tightly focussed on the big name stars, Tennant, Sheen, SPOILER and SPOILER. Netflix adds more background to director and his sister.
I discovered this morning that there is a second series being broadcast in January Xmas Grin
TomatoCultivator · 24/12/2020 18:52

A Korean drama on Netflix - Crash Landing on You.
Extraordinary and wonderful and I wish they’d make a second series but apparently they won’t.
