Oh I can’t wait to pick DD up from school today and not have to make her pack up and get school uniforms ready and the countless other “schooley” things for two whole weeks!
I can’t wait to not have to drag her out of bed tomorrow morning by her ankles or send in my hound to give her a good morning spit wash at 7am!
But most of all I’m looking forward to not having to go to work for 2 weeks! I’ve never had a Christmas off work!
What are you looking forward to doing or not doing during the Christmas holiday?

Last day for us here. Packed lunches are made, kids are dressed and doing homework apps, uniform on. We are winning this morning.

Last day tomorrow here in NE Scotland. We lost a week of holidays when the FM ordered schools open after the summer so I know teachers are peeved and considering striking post Christmas. I can’t wait to be off for 2 weeks with kids Xmas Smile last day of work today!

Last day of school here. I’m looking forward to last day of work for dh tbh - finishes 23rd. He’s the one I have to drag out of bed and make packed lunch for... dd now takes fridge raiders, crisps and a rice Krispy bar or buys something from the canteen - secondary so no healthy food for her as would be too uncool...

4 of us in 3 schools here! I finished yesterday, DD finished work on Tuesday, Ds finishes today and dh finishes tomorrow. I'm looking forward to not having to drag everyone out of bed, sorting uniform and work clothes and just being able to stop. This term has been the hardest in my 26 years in school. Can't wait to spend time not thinking about work. Dh is in a worse state than me (I'm a teacher, he's a school business manager and has had to deal with the decision making)

We're in Scotland and our primary School finishes up tomorrow. As does the main part of my business but not til 8pm (although I will have some admin feom home to do next week). And we are getting some major building works done that SHOULD be mostly finished by tomorrow.
So tomorrow is THE day to get through.

Enjoy your last day OP.

(We have had the delight of our DS choosing school meals the last 2 weeks and loving them. It's such a small thing really but not having to think about packed lunches is great)

After how much school they missed this year and how much I missed the school run as it meant ‘normal’ times , I won’t complain about it again.

LegallyBlondeee · 17/12/2020 08:29

@Fluffybutter Ahhh DD went to school all through lockdown. Maybe that’s why I’m looking forward to it 😂😂

Despite my DC being off school March - September and periods of isolation since (never all of them so always trying to sort one or more into school anyway) I’m still so excited to do my last school runs of the year today, the only day I’ve got out of bed quickly, roll on 3 o’clock and some freedom from constant school runs Grin

LutinDeSapin · 17/12/2020 08:34

Lunch time on 24th 😭 My DC are already overwrought and exhausted.
